That's fantastic. I love the spirit.

It would be petty and cynical to ask if there's any football other than grassroots in the Marshall Islands, so I'll hold my tongue.

OMG. I own San Marino and Gibraltar jerseys so this is just going right in my veins.

Marshall Islands releases a very cool first ever kit.

Love those! If I ever get around to issuing my Sunday pub league 2.0 kits, I'll have to upload a pic since it features a sash and maori designs.

Here I was thinking, "Surely the Vatican doesn't have a team."

Nope. Wrong again, Bozo.
Very tempted to get this for my Italian-American teammate. Even though he'd probably just prefer an old school Totti jerz.

Hilarious that the diminutive of cup is vase.
There's also the FA Trophy.
The town where I live have an FA Vase game ( first round ) on Saturday 21/10 at home to Pegasus. Kick-Off 15:00 BST.

Great idea but they left a LOT of possibilities on the bench here, just concentrating on the numerals. Start with the idea that the whole shirt should have that pattern, and go from there.

The rumored Mexico 24 (you can see estimates on DHgate) is pretty incredible, pattern-wise.
In looking at replenishing some jerseys for Mexican family members, quite a few LigaMX clubs have Dia de los Muertos jerseys (3rd kits or one offs)... some pretty great looks!

The new white US kits were leaked. I like it but don’t love it personally. The collar is fun.

They have to do a plain / reset version every couple cycles to let the real wild ideas pop. In this case I think Nike has been playing the long game and will unleash the Waldos as ‘26 home look, making this the right move in the interim. Often these basic looks end up being pretty popular, too. The last “just white” jersey I didn’t enjoy was the “pool ball” look back in the aughts. LD’s signature jersey perhaps.

Give me waldos any day. Also love the blue template with thick white stripe across chest, and red template with blue sash is still #1 all time for me. I love it so much I found one on EBay and didn't even care it was an Altidore (and to this day I'll say I think he was underrated in the US).

Don't necessarily disagree with any of this. But equally love the all-white (a la centennial) versions on occasion.

I don't love love it but it's still probably better than 90% of their kids historically. KISS method and all that for the USMNT.

I hope that's true. My impression of Nike as a Spurs/USMNT guy is that they can come up with good and original ideas if you are one of their prime clients or if you really make them do it, but otherwise they are happy to just skin whatever their new template is in your colors and give it to you.

For the home WC USSF needs to figure out how to bully them into something awesome. Phone up Nigeria and ask them the secret for how to make Nike be great.

The famous Nigeria jersey was a US designer, Matt Wolff. He’s great. He just did the Chicago fire re-re-brand (which I got to consult on!) among other things. Dude has my dream job.

Right, I feel like I'd seen that somewhere before. Get him in, I like most of the things on that page!

Nigeria's 2022 was also great though, so it's not just the one guy. They are Nike whisperers in a way that even clients you'd think are major like England are not. England always gets extremely templated shit.

Of course England falls into the same problem as my beloved Spurs, which is that it's hard to make white primaries truly sing and they're extremely committed to them. The US is more committed to them than we need to be, given that we have three strong colors to work with.

The key with white shirts, like baseball, is in the details. Tasteful trim, piping, details, balance, font, etc.

Again, thank you for your service.

The Fire will get a whole new kit design next season, the first created around the new crest. Very excited for it.

Otherwise known as "exactly the things you don't get on a quickie template design"

All that said, as much as I am whining at Nike generally, I think there's a solid shot that I like these kits, specifically.

I guess this could go in the Spurs thread, but I also want to see if people have thoughts about the uniform. I think it's a little weird, but I guess I like it?

Tottenham Hotspur Launches ‘Legacy Numbers’ Program

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has announced a new initiative called Legacy Numbers, which will result in small numbers being added below the rear collar of all current and future players.

Here’s how it works: Team researchers have determined that 879 players have played for the team since its inception in 1894. Each of those players has been assigned a number, from 1 through 879, based on the chronology of when he made his team debut. Numbers for players who debuted on the same date — including the 11 players who appeared in the team’s very first game — are assigned alphabetically. In other words, if Smith and Jones both made their debuts tomorrow, becoming the 880th and 881st players in team history, Jones would get No. 880 and Smith would be No. 881, because “J” comes before “S” in the alphabet.

The England Cricket team started doing this in 1877. You don't get a number until you have made ten appearances.

Where is the best place to buy authentic kits? Straight from the clubs pro shops? Direct from Adidas/Puma/etc? Sites like world soccer shop?

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those options. I’ll also add the venerable soccer.com, which (with Eurosport) was the catalog we lusted after as kids.

Thanks guys. When I was in Montreal over the weekend for the Bruins game I stopped in a store called Evangelista Sports. A dream store - I could have dropped several thousand there easily. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of stuff they had in store - IE player jerseys - they don’t have online. I was in a rush so I didn’t end up buying anything and immediately regretted it later on.

I own an unfortunate number of jerseys, including virtually every Del Piero shirt. That Classics site has me wondering how many I can sell.

Palace consistently has some of the best kits in the world. Does SoSH have any way of trying to figure out the mastermind(s) behind their kits?

The Men in Red are back! Well, at least the red home jerseys for the Fire are back with the appropriate sky blue piping. A classic kit, one that Klopas will feel at home with.
