Kudos to Brighton.
Getting what they earned, even if they perhaps deserved even better!
Strong young team if they can hold on to some pieces!

It seems most Palace fans have the same opinion as you on this one.

@Mr Jums ?
I haven't followed them long enough to associate the stripes so strongly so I do like the new one. That being said I then looked back at all the old kits and do like the stripes. I think I'd like this one as an alternate home or something but not the main one.

I’m sure they’ll produce a lot more jerseys this year.

Also, Chicago Fire fans are salty that a Chicago-based company is sponsoring a fucking fourth tier British club and not their hometown MLS team…who are still without a sponsor.

There’s some hilarious ideas in this thread. Great idea by the club to invite fan designs.

That Pabst jersey would sell tens of thousands & cross over to dudes who can’t tell Messi from Kris Middleton.

I've spent more time at the Kit Factory kit builder than I care to admit. I'm working on getting a small contribution from a couple of my guys to get our second edition strip made. If I do, I'll include some pics of it and way more backstory than you all care to read!

Hummel crush it with this year's Everton home kit. As anticipated it's a Goodison tribute in what might be the last full season there*.

Of course the motif on the collar and sleeve trim is the famous Goodison latticework. What is not well known (i.e. was not known by me before today) was that the architect, Scotsman Archibald Leitch, designed many football parks including Craven Cottage, Old Trafford, Ibrox, Molineux, White Hart Lane, etc. etc. and that this element appears in many of them - after all it is only just exposing and accentuating structural cross-braces at the front of the overhangs that are typically hidden by a plain facade.

- new stadium will not be ready for the start of 2024-25 but will likely be completed sometime mid season so it's remaining to be seen whether the club will move mid-year.

Looks fantastic.

I'm not a fan of Arsenal's 23/24 kit - I don't like the gold stripes.

I love Liverpool's new kit. Keep it simple.

On the “keep it simple” tip I usually don’t like collars- I hated utd’s last season. This just works.

I’m not sure the PL rules allow you to change stadiums mid-season.

Tottenham played the last four home league games of 18/19 at their new stadium, having played the prior fifteen at Wembley. There's a few EFL examples too (Hull did it, off the top of my head).

As an aside… We got our uniform requirements for the boy. We were excited as the coach said the organization chose exciting new uniforms to replace the dated hoops. Open up the email, and immediately fell asleep.

At least the hoops had character. I think about wearing the black strip in the sun and immediately pass out.

One all white kit and one all black kit, which MLS club does your boy play for?

Yikes. These look like crayon drawings.

That’s… unfortunate. I was in the footy shop near me today

66894

I was browsing “sides I like from leagues other than PL and MLS” and the Celtic kits stood out as especially sharp- they were last years I believe. I was debating between a Celtic, Ajax, and the new Guatemala kit, but “don’t spend $120” ultimately won.

I know there’s some other interest here now, which makes me immensely happy. Union Berlin away Trikot - this year in green and gold for luck and to symbolize the Waldseite (forest side) where the ultras stand for the games.

I‘m getting Portland Timbers vibes in a good way from that Jersey. I don’t know folks feelings on kitgg4 but they put up a Union Berlin jersey that was interesting. No idea if this exists in reality or only in China Knockoff land.

This was a special shirt that they wore for one match last season. Believe it or not, it was to raise money for a skate park near the stadium. I had to double-check myself when I first saw it, but seems like a nice idea.

Press release (in German) https://www.mellowpark.de/events/detail/union-trikot-fuer-berliner-jugendkultur.html

No comment about the skate park closest to my current apartment: :https://maps.app.goo.gl/dHkop4VSJL65uDs28?g_st=ic

That is so random that they decided to make a knockoff of a one-off shirt. Is that Mrs Riots riding the skateboard at dogsh#t park?

I’m not sure if I misunderstood your question or I explained poorly. The team wore these a mellowpark shirts for GW 30, and then the team sold them, I think with proceeds going to the cause.

Ms Candylandriots has a very complicated relationship with this neighborhood-Friedrichshain (and most others here). On the one had, it’s becoming much more bourgeois, which is to her liking (nice stores, luxury apartments better restaurants, etc.). These have followed the tech and startup money coming into a formerly counterculture neighborhood. She prefers Amazon HQ to the local squats, co-ops. But if that means we cross into Applebee’s, then all bests are off. But she hates saying she lives in Friedrichshain because it mostly still means counterculture. Naturally that is where I wanted to be…her in Charlottenburg (rich neighborhood in West with high-end stores).

That skate park doesn’t affect her life, so no thought given by her. But dogshit park is different from Mellow Park. Our next stop is Lichtenberg, who is a little line moving to that crappy neighborhood in New York that people are certain is the next Williamsburg, but as you watch, you think “that may be true, but it might not be for 20 years.”

I’ve prevailed with all our choices to be in the former east since we’ve been here. Partly that’s because new construction is relatively easier (ha) and it has benefitted by being able to accept more new construction. It can still be cheaper. It’s still close, and has benefited more from infrastructure renewal.

I’m really tired and I don’t know if I answered these question close to intelligently, so I think that’s enough.

No worries. I was joking that the link you sent for the local dogsh#t park had a video of a girl skateboarding in a mini skirt next to the map (at least for me).

You answered the Jersey question exactly. I’ve bought knockoffs from that site before (kitgg) and they’ve been nearly perfect. I was confused to see the Mellowpark version so I appreciate the backstory. And I’m always a sucker for gentrification stories having lived in Chicago, Brooklyn and SF many years ago.

p.s - if anyone thinks about buying a jersey from Kitgg, feel free to ask me questions. Most important thing is to size up accordingly for fan version vs player version.

She would never skate at Dog Shit Park, or associate with anyone there, hence my confusion.

i should have been an hour ago, so apologies for the confusing tangent.

I liked Spurs' new away kit. A simple 'not quite' navy shirt and shorts with white socks:

70369

In any event, it's certainly better than the 'sand' kit they wore against Fulham last week.

It seems I only come to this thread to clap and drool. Wow, that's a step up from the centenario. Classic (literally and figuratively)!

Big fan of Roma's home strip. They didn't have a sponsor, so they cold threw "SPQR" on the front. Simple.

EDIT: Big fan of the supposed third kit, too. The trim - and the three stripes - on it is outstanding.
