Ball boy suspiciously took balls from officials to field. Stopped to take a shit and text his girlfriend.

The Patriots know what security camera footage they handed over to the investigators. Again, it would be foolish for them to deny if they were guilty.
The NFL really doesn't want this damn story to die. More leaks with no evidence. They have video of someone not running direct from the room to the field?? Is that even the protocol? Well, it's hard to tell stuff from a tweet, but if they interviewed him, and they are still "gauging" whether wrongdoing occurred, then it would seem he didn't crack.

The way the NFL is dribbling out the information on this really does make me think it's shooting for maximum ratings here. This is simply not the way to do an investigation.

And of COURSE he'd be a person of interest. That still means nothing. They could have interviewed him days ago, got nothing, and someone just said "Oh, ya, so far we interviewed the refs, Belichick, some staff, a ball boy who carried the balls through the tunnel to the field.."

This is where I'm at. I can't imagine Belichick would have come out so defiantly on Saturday if he thought there was footage of a ball boy doing something wrong. Or that Kraft would allow him.djbayko said:

I want to think they would have investigated this and made sure it didn't happen internally before coming on so strong Saturday. And that they're not going to rely on some locker room attendant to not crack under pressure. I want to think that.
Of course, the missing piece of info:
Is it routine for a ball boy to take the balls in this manner from the officials' locker room, and the NFL is just stating that they intend to further interview or investigate this person? If so, this doesn't seem to be a big deal.

Roger must really hate BB to keep this story alive and essentially get in a pissing match with him the week of the super bowl.

Someone was always going to point a finger at the only Pats employee who had the balls inbetween them leaving the refs supervision and making their way to the field (and therefor the cameras).
Since they have found NOTHING on video and the refs can't possibly be to blame this was the ONLY POSSIBLE person to blame.
There's a piece of me that wonders whether the NFL won't be satisfied until either Brady or Belichick is suspended for the Super Bowl.
