Really?  You'd rather be kicked out of your $500 behind-home-plate seats, from which you could see your favorite team clinch the playoffs, maybe get an autograph or sprayed with champagne... than change your shirt?  Because that was basically the choice offered to them.  Right or wrong, you're not winning a fight with security.

I'd like to see them try to carry me out of there.

Yes, I would absolutely rather be kicked out than relent to that and sit there all night in Orioles gear.  And I don't know how much champagne I'm catching in the other team's clothes.

This is exactly how I feel - the fact that it wasn't the clinching game, notwithstanding. If a more reasonable alternative were presented, such as neutral clothing, then I might acquiesce. But I'll be fucking damned if I agree to wear a rival's colors because their owner is a nitpicking twat.

So considering its their rule, shouldn't the onus be on the management to relocate you to, say, a private box or something to make up for the fact that they were more than willing to sell the tickets to a rival's fans but not willing to let them sit there wearing their teams attire? I wouldn't change, I'd want equal or better seats (and it would be hard to find better seats than right behind the plate).

The first time I ever drank champagne in mass quantities, I jumped into a pool in a tuxedo. Along with the rest of the wedding party. You're only young once.

I enjoyed this part:

It's like Steinbrenner's awesome ""We understand that John Henry must be embarrassed, frustrated and disappointed..." quote, except the pissant, muzak version of it.
Uhhh...ok, pretty odd thing to say when Dodger Stadium is widely considered a ballpark masterpiece while Bank One Ballpark is widely considered an airplane hangar that they happen to play baseball in.

The Diamondbacks are actually worse at having an inferiority complex than they are at playing baseball, which says something.

Yeah, I was assuming neutral clothing was an option.  It's one thing to say "you can't wear that", but it's another, far-more-obnoxious thing to say "you must wear this".

you stay classy Diamondbacks radio station...

Game time is coming soon.
Diamondbacks and Dodgers.
It's time for the Dodgers to pay their debt. Plunk Puig!
I'm not advocating violence. There's no way any pitcher should ever go after someone's head. In baseball, not plunking says, "walk over me." Everyone knows it's coming. Therefore, let's finish it now.
Waiting until the regular season just risks lengthier suspensions. Plunking Puig in Australia would make it more difficult to replace those suspended because you're not traveling with your whole minor league system behind you.
Plunking Puig today at Salt River Field declares the Diamondbacks will not back down. Waiting around is like sneaking behind someone's back. Be a man. Take the punishment. Move on. First, however, the Dodgers must pay their debt.
Play ball!

The Dodgers must pay their debt?  What debt?  Did they not tip Arizona's clubhouse attendant?  Did they not launder their own towels or something?

This whole thing is juvenile.  Nick fucking Punto looks like the mature, sane one here.
