Eichel just want hard head-first into the boards. Stumbled and fell over like he was stunned. Not pretty.

Doesn't seem to hurt him that much as he makes it 3-1 Terriers. He beat his defender to a spot at the right post and hammered it in.

Colgate may well still need to win tomorrow to get into the 16. Very happy with the result, but it would be tough to make the final and not get into the tourney.

UMass-Lowell is in the same boat, though a game vs BU will give them a little more schedule strength oomph if they lose. Still, they're clearly on the fence.

So here's the deal...

There are six conference championships tomorrow plus a third-place game in the NCHC. If all the favorites win except Colgate, then Yale gets the last at-large bid while Colgate & UMass-Lowell are out. So... Yale fans actually need to root for Harvard tomorrow, which is outstanding.

If all favorites plus Colgate win, then Providence gets the final at-large. Harvard is also in, while Yale & UMass-Lowell are out.

But the Crimson aren't safe: If all favorites win except BU, then UMass-Lowell gets the Hockey East auto-bid and vaults to 12th in the PWR. Providence would again get the final at-large, and Harvard would be bumped from the field.

the only thing funnier than Yale having to root for Harvard is if they wind up playing a 7th time in the tournament.

Quentin Shore gives Denver a 2-1 lead on a one-timer with 2:07 left in the 1st. And that's where they stand at the break.

In the WCHA, Blake Pietela (MTU power play) and Chase Grant (Minn St) traded 1st-period goals, but Alex Petan's tally in the 2nd has Michigan Tech up 2-1 after two period. After getting out-shot 13-6 in the 1st, the Huskies turned the tables in the 2nd (12-4).

Only 4.69% of possible scenarios will get Bowling Green into the tourney, but if the current game leaders hold on (BU, RIT, Harvard, Mich Tech) and Minnesota wins the B1G, then the Falcons will make it regardless of whether Miami or St. Cloud wins the NCHC.

Yale (a 25% chance) would join them, while Providence, UM-Lowell & Colgate would be out.

Yale & BGU are the two least likely qualifiers of the 10 teams eligible that haven't already locked up a bid.

Holy shit, what a SICK glove save by Steve Racine for Michigan, robbing Travis Boyd on a 2-on-1 break. Man...

EDIT - And here it is...

Andrew Miller gives RIT a 3-1 lead in the Atlantic. 3:00 left for Mercyhurst to rally...

EDIT - An empty netter seals it. Rochester Tech gets the auto-bid and the 16th seed.

Minnesota State reclaiming the lead in the WCHA over Michigan Tech is huge, as it opens the door back up for PC over BGU. However, the Friars need Minnesota to win the B1G more than ever. A Michigan win would steal an at-large bid.

BU's win all but assures Yale of a spot in the field.

So we're down to this:

* Bowling Green is OUT.

* Providence gets in only if Minnesota beats Michigan.

* Yale gets in only if Harvard beats Colgate.
