BTW, for those Jonathan Isaac fans, here's a little synopsis on his SL play. He has shown some talent, including a nearly unblockable pull-up jumper. However, the article notes that "as yet to make it through a first quarter without looking gassed and asking to come out of the game" and then he came out of yesterday's game with a hip injury after 12 minutes.

Just looks like a very smooth, very advanced player for his age. Some bad long twos and whatnot but nothing that signaled "this dude has no idea what he's doing" and he obviously flashed some really good stuff. The steal and one man rush punctuated by a calm flush and-1 was great.
He's going to see a ton of open threes in this offense, which is good, because he has the kind of stroke and shot to make it look like the ball is going in every time.
Fultz to me looks like a guy who is going to shoot and score a ton. The big questions are are going to be his efficiency and whether his young superstar teammates are going to resent him for it. His defense is up in the air, but he has the legth and athleticism to be good, though I'm not sure he'll have the energy for both at the NBA level, maybe early in his career.
Tatum looks like he's going to be good at everything. He might not put up 23 points a game (then again he might), but if he has an off night shooting, he's going to contribute in other ways. I was surprised by his ability to disrupt passing lanes and his overall quickness. He does remind me a lot of Pierce, but he seems to have more length.
I think this might ultimately end up in a place where Fultz is perceived to be a big superstar by the general public, but advanced metrics will favor Tatum as the clearly superior player.

All I ask is that Tatum make it close enough that when we get the LA pick next year, Sixers fans collectively think "oh shit."
There is a good chance that we will need a couple of these guys to fill out the end of the bench. If they can do that, that is much more valuable than a couple future 2nd round picks.
I agree. I just don't think turnovers in Summer League games mean much because players are often asked to do things they normally don't. Of course they are probably asked to do those things because those things need work. There just seems to be an insane number of TOs and Fouls in Summer League games. Sometimes turnovers are caused by inferior teammates not being in the right place or other such debauchery. I didn't get to watch all of last nights games, so maybe Jaylen's 7 turnovers were due to him being erratic and sloppy.
I don't make much of one game of anything, but I would say the totality of Brown's game was pretty neutral. The boards were nice, he got a steal and a block, but the lack of assists is a real flag, and the turnovers do matter.
Tatum's performance was very positive on the other hand. 5 steals is great to see, regardless of the level of competition. Confirms what we mostly knew - that he has a very good feel for the game. I'm feeling pretty chipper there.
Like I said, I didn't get to watch the whole game. Were the turnovers mostly off the dribble and/or bad passes on his behalf? I just see a lot of passes in the summer league miss their spot because the player they were passing to wasn't in the correct place.
A few of them were dribbling errors. And one play late in the game where he decided that he wanted to get other players involved; drove through the lane; jumped; and then realized he didn't have any where to go with the ball.
I don't understand the people saying Jaylen shouldn't even bother with Summer League. First, he needs reps against decent competition, just as any one-and-done who saw limited minutes in his rookie season would, particularly one with questionable court awareness. But also, I want him getting as much run with Tatum as possible before the games start to count.

Would not have guessed that Ojeleye would be getting the worst of a collision with Dejounte Murray...
He really just needs to be able to dribble in traffic and he'll be a monster. I'm generally bullish on him but he's still so loose with the ball and it has me worried
Tatum won't need to rely on screens to get shots. He can create off the dribble and off the catch. He also can find shooting lanes and seems. His game is really well rounded offensively.
It's pretty egregious, and it makes him a target for guys cheating off ball to take a swipe once he puts it on the floor, but it's exactly the type of thing a second year guy should be working on in SL.
Trying not to overreact to a small sample but most 2016 redrafts had him in the lottery. I don't see it. He should be seeing time in the G League.
Seriously, that fadeaway is a work of art. Kid just turned 19 and already has that in his arsenal.
I don't think there's any point in reading much into Zizic's play. He's going to need time, the value of this SL for him is just exposure and starting the process. It would have been great if he unexpectedly dominated but he just needs as many minutes as possible

Those people were crazy. He's got to settle into a new country, higher level of play, and play in a guard driven SL league with no coaching.
Seems like he'd be better off in the G League. Zizic needs to be working on his cardio and he looks kinda slow. He fills the awkward, goofy white guy quota left by KO anyway.
