Now it's up to those damn ping pong balls.Miami beats the dysfunctional Bulls in Chicago for their 6th straight win.
No one is close the Brooklyn now.
And don't forget they started out 4-5. 5-32 since.I knew they were going to be bottom three at best but I never would have guessed it would be over so soon.
Yes. The lakers are going to tank hard tho to keep that pick. The draft picks and ping pong balls may not work out, but from a process perspective was this the best trade in NBA history?
Ha. WhoopsNow 3-5, 2.5 games behind the worst team in the league. Guessing this won't be a top 3 pick, but still hoping for 5-7.
He scored 92 in a game tonightSpeaking of future prospects, Lonzo Ball's brother's name is LaMelo...
Not to be a hater on a HS kid, but he cherry picked for much of the game. And the other team played zero D.He scored 92 in a game tonight
Clearly talented but I think he's going to get toasted on defense at the college level. Way too much showboating but a good college coach can correct that. Level of competition looks pretty weak to me. Those highlights looked like a glorified pickup game. Not to be a hater on a HS kid, but he cherry picked for much of the game. Don't get me wrong the kid can play, but his shot is sort of funky like his brother's. Too bad the dad didn't know how to teach shooting form. The kid is tough to keep in front off the dribble.
The dude is a sophomore. Not sure how you can project his college level defense by any stretch.Clearly talented but I think he's going to get toasted on defense at the college level. A high school was 143-125 (or close)---don't they play 8 minute quarters? Yikes. The dude is a sophomore. Not sure how you can project his college level defense by any stretch.
It's amazing how bad the HS coaching can be. If you watch HS basketball around here (CMass/EMass) the defensive effort is so much higher. There's an actual system, kids get back on D, kids step up in the lane, etc. And with much less talented players. Now this isn't the case at every HS around here, but for most part kids play much harder than that.Clearly talented but I think he's going to get toasted on defense at the college level. You can project that's behind the curve because his team clearly doesn't play any. And he's very frail looking. Sure, he'll get bigger and stronger but I don't see an elite athlete here. Passing and shooting skills are clearly there. The dude is a sophomore. Not sure how you can project his college level defense by any stretch.
Body won't be the issue. He hasn't learned how to play defense and doesn't look very interested in it either. This is a kid who took a half court shot in a game just for shits and giggles. His next coach will have his work cut out for him.a frail looking 15 year old. the horror
Was it? My bad if so.It was an exhibition game, wasn't it? It'd be fun to see Steph Curry shoot some 3's from half court in an all star game.
That's what the threads here were like, too.So this is pretty funny. I found the Nets Daily post from draft day 2013 when the big trade went down. The comments are hilarious. "The picks are going to be in the 25-30 range." "I hope we don't give up Toko Shengelia to Boston." Very entertaining.

I'm not really going to be. Even in the worst case scenario there will be a very good PG available at #4. Fultz would be nice, but there just isn't a huge drop-off from #1 or #2 like there is most years.Nets now 8 games "ahead" of Phoenix with 28 games to go. This is all but locked up. I'm going to be more nervous over lottery balls this spring than the actual playoff games.
I completely forgot about that too. Hilarious. That's good stuff.
Also, I had forgotten about Simmons views on the deal. LOL
There may not be but I'm a big Fultz fan, much more so than Ball, Jackson, and the others.I'm not really going to be. Even in the worst case scenario there will be a very good PG available at #4. Fultz would be nice, but there just isn't a huge drop-off from #1 or #2 like there is most years.
The amazing thing is how patient Danny has been as a GM:I completely forgot about that too. Hilarious.
Some of the comments lauded King for unloading Gerald Wallace's contract. I wonder how much more value Ainge was able to extract by taking that contract. So this is pretty funny. Didn't they have to take him to balance salaries? Some of the comments lauded King for unloading Gerald Wallace's contract. I wonder how much more value Ainge was able to extract by taking that contract.
Yes. And it was money well spent.Didn't they have to take him to balance salaries?
Yeah when they started like 4-4 or whatever it was, figured it was going to be a tight race all year like last year but nopeeeeEveryone thought they would be bad, but not this bad compared to every other team. They are only projected to win as many games the 2nd worst team already has.
Tankathon is probably losing a lot a page views this year. Last year I know I was on that thing every morning.
