"Apple TV+ has ordered The Dynasty, a 10-part docuseries about the NFL team’s amazing run of success. The project from Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries, in association with NFL Films, is based Jeff Benedict’s nonfiction bestseller, for which the author spent two years inside the organization and covered its unprecedented near-20-year domination of the league.Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Matthew Hamachek (Tiger), The Dynasty will draw on thousands of hours of never-before-seen video footage and audio files from the Patriots organization’s archive. The filmmakers also were given access to the organization during the 2021 season — its second after Brady left the club — and are conducting hundreds of interviews with past and present Patriots players, coaches and executives, along with league officials and the archrivals of the most dominant sports dynasty of the 21st century."

I have not read the Benedict book, but this looks to go a bit beyond "Man in the Arena/Tom vs. Time". Following the 2021 team should also be very interesting.

This will be the companion project to Man in the Arena in that it’ll be hagiography.

I’ll, just like Man in the Arena, be watching every minute of it.

Man if it has never before seen/heard media, let's hope it has some good stuff on the background Spygate/Deflategate nonsense...

More importantly let's have a lot more Ernie Adams in our lives!!!!

Very skeptical that there is video and audio that we haven't yet seen through some combination of America's Game, Do Your Job, Three Games to Glory, Man in the Arena, and Tom vs. Time... but we shall see.

This might be the only sports forum in the English language that expands my vocabulary

I wonder how much of Bill we will get in it (I mean actual commentary, not video of). The Brady decision could be an interesting vis a vis between that and Man in the Arena

There probably won't be much Bill. The book was written from the Kraft camp. I found it to be a fun read from a nostalgia standpoint but there isn't much in it that most Patriots fans don't already know.

I’m at the point where I’m worried that I’m addicted to Pats porn and it is impacting how I view sports in general, having unrealistic expecations, wanting to push boundaries too far in my fandom. I think I may need to look into it — right after I’m done watching this series.
