Pass on Little. Statues have better hands then him. Get Revis done then worry about Andre. I don't think Brady would be pissed about getting him however.bsj said:While I think Johnson would suddenly look 2 years younger in the Patriots offense, just doesn't seem the type of need the Patriots can afford to spend $$$ on. I would much rather they use that money on Revis, and then cut Amendola and then scoop up a buy low type candidate who may be willing to take a small check for the chance to rebuild himself....I'm thinking a Greg Little type, a 2 yr/2 mill type deal...

If it's anywhere in the $4m~ range, then it gets really interesting.
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sl4qoiWR Andre Johnson on what future team he prefers to play for: "Wherever I go, I hope I can play with a great quarterback. I don't know. I'm just going to wait and see what happens. A lot of these teams want young players; so we'll just see what happens. I am open to visiting teams."

I'm sensing a pattern here.

That's older that Ocho Cinco was when he arrived here. I am sensing this is not gonna happen. I don't want him taking plays from Lafell, but there really isn't any other ready big WR here. Could be a good tutor for Tyms if it's really short money. Would probably need to flip Boyce to make room though.MentalDisabldLst said:Turns 34 in July. 9th on the NFL leaderboard in career receptions, 12th in receiving yards, 4th in yards/game. Among active players, behind only Reggie Wayne in the 1st two metrics, and behind Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, and AJ Green in the yards/game metric.
In PFF's Yards-per-route-run statistic, he's well down the overall leaderboard, and wasn't even the #1 on the Texans this past year (that was DeAndre Hopkins, at 2.27, good for #11)
So, clearly used to being a featured #1 receiver in the Randy Moss tradition, except Moss was 30 when he came here. And is, based on a cursory glance, probably well past his prime. I'm not sure how he'd be an upgrade from Amendola or LaFell at this point, since his rep (and thus price) probably exceeds production. Seems like an unlikely target.
Can he stop the run?theapportioner said:Indy probably makes a lot of sense, with Reggie Wayne riding off to the sunset.
Guys, Andre Johnson's brother said where HE wants Andre to go, not where Andre wants to go. Follow the thread: https://twitter.com/PopeSlim/status/575083118043926528 …E5 Yaz said:TerryBlountESPN Terry Blount
Andre Johnson's brother tweeted 4 teams Andre is interested in _ Seahawks, Colts, Pats and Packers.
I agree, there's no sense in replacing LaFell on the outside. I imagine they'd run more 11 personnel with LaFell and Johnson out wide and Edelman in the slot. Or maybe they see Johnson as LaFell insurance.tims4wins said:For those advocating signing Johnson, would you want him to replace LaFell on the outside as a starting WR? I guess I could see a role for him in the spread, with a lineup of LaFell-Edelman-Gronk-Vereen-Johnson, and that would probably be an upgrade over Amendola, but I think I would rather have LaFell as my starter on the outside given what he showed this year, and his age (turns 29 in November). LaFell could give us another 3 or so good years on the outside.
Would not surprise me if Antrel Rolle and maybe even Vince would go there. Make it a U reunion of sorts.Clears Cleaver said:pagano was a recruiter for the U and Chud was involved, too. deep roots

Andre Johnson may very well end up in Indy but I've been assured by 3 close to him that he's still working out in Miami this morning.

It'll also be taking a quick stopover in Colombia.CSteinhardt said:
It's easier when the jet flies in a straight line.
