Yankees and Cardinals aren't involved

Could be. I do think Joe is better though, maybe the last couple of years, than he used to be. The common denominator for the last two years is Harold though. "Oh yeah, you had surgery" he just said he said to Tulo when he saw Tulo doing strange stretching before a game. What a fool.

Here
I'm sure this probably isn't the first time and that I just haven't noticed, but Pete Rose and ARod are acting as analysts for FS1? Fucking hysterical.

And Raul Ibanez!

He used to treat McCarver with a level of respect and even reverence with made him sound really douchey.   He sort of chuckles at Harold and seems more inclined to inject his own opinion now.

I thought McC did a good job back in the day with Steve Zabrisky and Ralph Kiner for the Mets, but man, he seemed to slip the last decade...

Gotta expect a win from Price tomorrow- he can't keep losing postseason games forever, can he?

Also, today is the anniversary of Roid Rage Roger throwing Piazza's broken bat at him? Classy.

Desperately rooting for a Game 7 here. These teams really don't like each other and players on both teams are rising to the challenge.

I like Price and the Jays tonight.

Also, note batter vs. Verntura:
- Joey Bats, 3 for 5, HR
- Donaldson, 1 for 6, HR

Wondering how much a game 7 would help the winner stay sharp, and possibly cool off the mets? 2007 Rockies on line one?

The 07 Rockies started Jeff Francis in Game 1 .... the Mets staff is an entirely different beast

All things being equal I'd rather see the Blue Jays win the series. But thing's aren't equal; I don't want the Mets to win the World Series. Which team would be the tougher match up for the Mets? I'm thinking the Royals, but I'm far from an expert on these kind of things.

Honestly, I'm not sure anyone is beating them -- deGrom, Harvey, Thor with Familia in the pen is just a deadly combination in a short series.

I guess you could hope the Royals play great defense and their bullpen protects 1-run leads, or you could hope the Jays hitters manage to get to them, but neither one feels all that likely to me.

Edit: Personally I'm rooting for the Jays because that's a great city and one of the best stadium atmospheres in the majors, and that team has had a flair for the dramatic all season. I'm rooting for Game 7s and extra innings and praying to delay the offseason as long as possible.

Will be interesting to see if Royals have any adjustments to Price, they were blanked in the first 6 before that Goins misplay.

I think for the Mets, it depends on how well their lineup holds up after this week off

A great pitcher handles something like the Goins misplay. De Grom was in and out of trouble all postseason but managed to pitch out of it. It will be interesting to see if Price can adjust to anything not going his way tonight.

The Mets are beatable.  Murphy is going to wake up.  The bridge to Familia can be shaky.
They're good and they're playing great.  But either AL team will give them all they can handle.

There would be something sort of beautiful about Price losing again and then signing with the Cubs.  His post-season record makes him a perfect Cub.
Theo is too smart to go there. Erod for Schwarmer is more likely - with some also rans thrown in.
