They list game 2 at 1:05 p.m. but that seems foolish. Brian Van Belle is scheduled to pitch.

1:35 p.m. - Portland (CJ Liu 4.57 ERA) v. Richmond (Murphy 4.67 ERA)

2:05 p.m. - Greenville (Bradley Blalock 3.24 ERA) v. Bowling Green (TBD)

3:05 p.m. - Lynchburg (TBD) @ Salem (Noah Dean 7.53 ERA)

Story is done for the game. Worcester got a walk from Scott then scored a run on Hernandez's GIDP. Norwith Gudiño is pitching.

Some foolish AAA player tried to test Reese McGuire & got caught stealing.

Apparently Jake Alu thought he was a big deal after going 16 of his 18 on AAA steals this season.

He is now 16 of 19.

Núñez became the 2nd straight WooSox pitcher to pitch less than half their pitches for strikes, but still pitch a scoreless inning. Mosqueda was 10 of 21 & Núñez was 8 of 18.

If we could go ahead & have some pitchers learn to throw some strikes that would be a wonderful thing.

CJ Liu threw a scoreless 1st with a walk, a strikeout, & only 7 of 16 strikes.

C Note was 3-4 with a double.

Stephen Scott was 1-2 with a homer & 2 walks.

Ronaldo Hernandez was 2-4 & got a hit in the 9th. Wilyer Abreu came in to run for him & scored the winning run.

Bobby Dalbec was 2-4.

Hamilton was 2-5 with the game winning hit.

Bradley Blalock allowed a 2-run homer in the 1st for Greenville, but both runs were unearned as the inning would have been over but for Eddinson Paulino's 13th error of the season. Paulino got a hit in the 2nd inning...& then got caught stealing for the 6th time. At least we don't need to worry about protecting him?

On the bright side, ROMAN had a lead off single.

Interesting outting from Noah Dean. Threw a ton of pitches over the next 3 innings & was done after 4 innings & 70 pitches. Allowed only 1 hit (a solo homer), 2 walks, 7 strikeouts. Hopefully he's turning a bit of a corner.

Cepeda pitched 2 scoreless innings, 2 hits, 2 strikeouts. Still hasn't allowed a run since promotion from FCL in 5.2 innings.

Bell pitched a 1-2-3 8th, bringing his ERA since being pronoted to Greenville down to 2.94.

Alex Hoppe pitched a scoreless 9th.

ROMAN was 1-3 with 2 walks.

Paulino was 2-3 with a homer & a walk.
