Nice move, Chaim.Kluber gotta go. Eat the money and ship this guy to Siberia.
I like Cora, but at this point I'm more than happy to package him together with Chaim for a totally new experience next year. This might be Cora's last game.
They’re all shitty. But why didn't Cora use [insert shitty pitcher like Pivetta]?
Just baseball or hockey too?I'd say blow it up, but blow what up? What a roster! Can we do an exchange with Tampa for their other executives?
Definitely not living up to the back of his baseball card.Middlebrooks doesn't think that Kluber is pitching well. What do y'all think?
Is this a rhetorical question? Because it has to be. How would I have an answer for that?who do they replace him with through? They have little to no close to ready to the majors pitching in the system, and seemingly no ability to find guys from other orgs
Heck, what does Tampa have to offer in the way of NBA execs? It has not been a great couple months.Just baseball or hockey too?
Again, I'm fine blowing it all up - but Cora didn't sign Kluber or call up the fungible bum to start. He's using the hand he was dealt. At what point does Cora start to feel the hot seat?
Last season when the team had the same issues and he showed he couldn’t fix them?At what point does Cora start to feel the hot seat?
Unfortunately more River Kwai than Madison CountyIt’s a bridge year
Rich Hill has been better than Kluber, at like half the price. Hell, so has Strahm.Well done Bloom! Too bad we didn't have a chance to resign Wacha or Eovaldi. Oh crap, we did didn't we.
I don’t know but not when it’s 44 degrees out thereAt what point does Cora start to feel the hot seat?
His seat should have already melted. At what point does Cora start to feel the hot seat?
Wacha and Evoo also were pitchers of the month for MayRich Hill has been better than Kluber, at like half the price. Hell, so has Strahm.
Don't look at JD's numbers with the Dodgers.Wacha and Evoo also were pitchers of the month for May
Won’t someone think of the starving children at the Nines?Casas eating on the bench disturbs me. Or maybe it's just this team.
At least Henry has many lovely rings.Between Henry and Bloom we have this mess of a group right now.
Someone tell Bloom the difference between being cooked and cookingDon't look at JD's numbers with the Dodgers.
Was it a fancy meal with fine china and linen napkins, or just chicken and beer?Casas eating on the bench disturbs me. Or maybe it's just this team.
The 3rd Wild Card makes it seem likely this ownership group won’t go “all in” again.Lucchino took some criticisms from the press and from fans…some deserved…but I miss that guy. There was a sense of urgency and commitment to winning that has faded in his absence. Sam Kennedy is more marketing / PR (and you can’t get Heinz ketchup or guldens mustard so the marketing isn’t even good for the fans)…and the ownership group is older and less focused on the team
At least it wasn’t fried chickenWas Casas really enjoying a fruit bowl in the dugout after that clusterfuck of an inning.
Not much any manager can do when your entire fucking offense has averaged 4 runs a game the last month. And Devers who just signed a large contract extension has hit two homers in the last month. Yes thats right. TWO homers. At what point does Cora start to feel the hot seat?
They’ve been such an amazing ownership group…we’ve been spoiled, really…but If I knew the krafts would buy the Sox, I think I’d be down for a saleThe 3rd Wild Card makes it seem likely this ownership group won’t go “all in” again.
Then they should sell the team and take their massive profits and goThe 3rd Wild Card makes it seem likely this ownership group won’t go “all in” again.
He sat Duvall, who was on fire and was the player of the week opening week, the sixth game of the season. It still bugs me.At what point does Cora start to feel the hot seat?
Yeah i don’t know how Cora can be seen as the issue. If he got sacked, maybe the team plays better for a while, but in the end, they’re not good enough to content in any meaningful wayNot much any manager can do when your entire fucking offense has averaged 4 runs a game the last month. And Devers who just signed a large contract extension has hit two homers in the last month. Yes thats right. TWO homers.
Does he pack that before the game? Does the trainer prepare it for him? Does he go to the supermarket before the game? How does he keep it fresh on the bench? Or at his hotel. Was Casas really enjoying a fruit bowl in the dugout after that clusterfuck of an inning.
Totally. And it also triggers spending on declining players like Jensen and Kluber (not that they’re super comparable but they are both well past their primes and not cheap)The offense hasn’t been great, but this is once again…one of the worst teams in the league in terms of giving up runs, and there’s little pitching in the system. The inability to develop or identify the right pitchers continues to be a massive problem.
Maybe secondI'm guessing Kluber is the next DFA after this game.
Absolutely. Been thinking that all season long.Kluber is like when the Sox had Smoltz
I wish I could add Barnes to that list but he still sucks.Rich Hill has been better than Kluber, at like half the price. Hell, so has Strahm.
Two for one. Kluber and DermodyI'm guessing Kluber is the next DFA after this game.
Smoltz was tipping, and had a bit of a bounceback. But Kluber's stuff is shit.Absolutely. Been thinking that all season long.
You want to bring back the guy who forced his GM to hire Bobby fucking Valentine?? Good lord.Lucchino took some criticisms from the press and from fans…some deserved…but I miss that guy. There was a sense of urgency and commitment to winning that has faded in his absence. Sam Kennedy is more marketing / PR (and you can’t get Heinz ketchup or guldens mustard so the marketing isn’t even good for the fans)…and the ownership group is older and less focused on the team
Huh, I didn’t know that but it would explain it. He was fairly decent after leaving Boston.Smoltz was tipping, and had a bit of a bounceback. But Kluber's stuff is shit.
