I mean, it's been less than 2 innings and one of our pitchers just got hit in the face by a line drive. I'm not saying this game is winnable or anything but maybe take a step back from the ledge.
There is no being on the ledge. This is a combination of bad things coming together, but splitting this series is a disappointment even with the Twins in first. Yesterday was the game the needed to win.

What an incredibly dumb play by Taylor. My 13 y/o daughter did that in a rec game a few weeks ago but the other team didn't catch that she didn't touch third again. But for a 32 y/o pro? Dumb.

Random and unimportant question: Why Caleb Hamilton and not Ronaldo Hernandez? Hamilton absolutely cannot hit. Hernandez can't field, but Wong is going to take most of the work here and another bat wouldn't be awful.

Win 6 in a row, and split a series with this shit team after winning the first two would be very on brand for this team.

A road split against a .500ish team isn't bad....doing it after winning the first 2 kind of sucks though.

Splitting a 4 game series on the road, when forced into this bad situation with Houck's injury and a rainout, is a far cry from laying an egg.

That said, I do worry about the next series without Verdugo. White Sox are bad this year, would like to expect to win that series easily.

Ok, put up a crooked number here...at least make them earn the win.

In the abstract, perhaps. But they were tied going into extra innings last night. Going from that to 2-2 isn't a great outcome.

Brandon Walter is the epitome of taking one for the team. Welcome to The Show.

Six innings three earned runs - that's a quality start, if he'd started. It's a brutal game, but has he been that bad?

The offense looks completely dead. Maybe all the recent games and the early morning arrival on Monday are catching up with them.
Better get back after it tomorrow.
At least Walter did a good job and saved the pen.

Best thing about this day for sure. And Walter did a nice job also.
And these guys are thrilled to do it. Congratulations to both and their families. It’s a big life moment for them. Hope there are many more for them!

Helluva pitching performance today by Ryan. Love to see these. Sucks that it’s against our team but a tip of the cap and move on.
