I was saying to my wife last night how annoying it is that every.single.time. they have a Yankee series on a weekend, the Sat/Sun games are primetime. This isn't 20 years ago, people care less about the rivalry IMO. Give us some afternoon games.
Loved last night's game, we were having a nice family gathering last night and having the game on in the background was a lot of fun. Seems like tonights game is iffy to happen. Whenever it gets played, will love to see the momentum continue.
Especially on a dreary day

They need to do it for June-August
May and September I totally understand (playoffs in winter sports and college football)
But there’s only golf in the summer and sometimes like this week it’s on the west coast so it’s later

Friday night’s game was a meant for the archive.
Swarming offense from a fierce Red Sox hive
stung the Pinstripes as we won 15 - 5.
The one downside of the game would arrive
in the 5th inning when Houck couldn’t dive
out of the way of a comeback line drive.
Lucky for all, it looked a lot worse live.
Back to 500. It’s time to connive,
conspire, construe, and calmly contrive
a way of keeping this win streak alive.
I am no Bee Gee. My talkin’ ain’t jive.

Wouldn’t the easiest thing here be to just announce a day- night doubleheader got tomorrow? It’s been raining here all morning and shows no signs of stopping anytime before midnight
Yeah but they have to get some sales for Aramark and the souvenir vendors since there has been fewer fans this year than the past.
My wife and I are driving 3-ish hours. I just need to know one way or the other.
Fox/ESPN complicates the double-header idea, doesn't it? Fox will have some other sporting event scheduled for tomorrow and won't want to move it.

Fox would just show Rays Padres instead today and I'm assuming would lose the game tomorrow, or maybe have it on FS1? Not sure. So it complicates it in the fact that they'll get worse ratings, but maybe not much given standings and Judge being out.
This is the one game I'll be able to get to Fenway this year. I'm assuming they will decide one way or the other before gates open.

The game tonight has been postponed. Red Sox and Yankees will play a split doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1:35 p.m.
Tickets for tonight’s game will be good for game one. Sunday’s regularly scheduled game remains at 7:10 p.m.

Ugh this season is SO ANNOYING. Twice in two weeks we get a fucking rainout that fucks up the rotation -- perfectly timed with the loss of a key rotation guy, to double down on the pain. [Although Houck hasn't been announced out for his next start; just guessing they will give him a few extra days?] Are we ever going to have even a SINGLE MOMENT of good fortune? Oh, and the bats finally woke up, so yeah, let's have a day off.
