To be fair, its been nearly 20 years. Also, some people may not be born in the USA
I get that more offense is always necessary at Fenway, but that’s just running into outs with Duran
Reyes seems to be a fundamentally sound player, and that is really unique and noticeable on this team.
Let’s put the hand wringing about attendance to bed. First, the paid attendance last night was 31,977. This is pretty consistent with the 32,200 on Monday and 31,400 on Tuesday. It’s not 2004, sure, and it’s not 1966 either.
I found it amazing how many stayed through a 2-hour rain delay last night. Virtually everyone remained through the bottom of the 7th. These are not casual, front running fans.
5 games out in June is not great. But the pitching is much improved and the adjustments Cora is making (Kiké/Duran cf, Duvall/Yoshida DH, JT 1b, Reyes ss) might close this gap.

The 2-run triple by Refsnyder was sweet justice. The ump missed two pitches during the at bat after the count was 2-0.
