Contemplating a trip to Stade Fasciste with my 14 year-old, tonight. If anybody knows of a way to get in that doesn't require GMAC Financing, I'm all ears...

Game 65
A 1 run win in the series premiere.
Raffy remembered how to hit the sphere.
Whitlock was locked in. (Though Kenley caused fear.)
Back to 500 again. That's still not top tier,
but we’re not counting the Sox out this year.
We still believe, and to quote Will Shakespeare,
“Our doubts are traitors.” We hold those words dear.
True Sox fans have faith that won’t disappear.
Rooting for Boston’s our second career,
a strict moral code to which we adhere.
We won’t run away like Roberts from Gere.
We’ll tune into tonight. Our mission is clear.
We’ll post to this page, and we’ll persevere.
We’ll create Good Times (just like Norman Lear),
We'll watch the Sox, and hope they engineer
another big win to bring us Bronx cheer.

My wireless modem needs replacing. Sneaking a peek thru hubby's ethernet-attached laptop to read today's poem.
Boy, is his keyboard dirty. (don't tell him I said that.)

Who the fuck plays outfield for this team? I'll admit I've been fairly checked out on baseball in 2023 because the Sox are not great but man alive what IS that.
Willie Calhoun, Billy McKinney, and Jake Bauers

Hicks is gone, Judge is on the DL and Stanton doesn’t play OF.

Bauers and Oswaldo Cabrera have the most LF time for the NYY this year, with Hicks gone. iKF has been out there a bunch, too. Nader and IKF have the most CF time. Franchy played 15 games in RF for them and hit .148 while doing so

Devers has been in a slump for nearly a third of the season and he's STILL third in RBIs? Crazy.
