He's literally outplaying Butler this game, and has all series, despite playing on one leg. So apparently Miami doesn't.
Butler isn't being hailed as a top five player. For all of the "great game 7s!!" Tatum has had, should I list the playoff duds that top players DONT have?

No. I don't need to. Because we all know they exist.

They need to stop putting themselves in a position where they need TimeLord to be successful. He should be treated as a luxury item. He will always be injured or playing hurt.

How anyone could watch how Tatum was moving and complain about his performance is actually beyond me. His ankle is fucked. He’d be out for the game and probably a week or two if this was a February game.

You can't trade Jaylen - he doesn't make enough money to bring back anything close to value.

Lowry really won the Heat the series when he destroyed Jaylen's wrist last game I guess.
Over reaction but I'd gladly trade any player who had 8 turnovers in a game 7.

Celts had a great first four minutes in this one—-and then got totally outplayed for the next 40.

A great effort to come back to 3-3, but just an awful way to close. They gave away games 1-2, and they shit the bed in game 7. It just doesn’t make you feel great.

Miami does a lot of annoying stuff, and they played over their heads shooting-wise all series, but they are tough, they execute, and they are a whole lot more consistent than the Celtics. And that’s why they are advancing

That's nice, he will never be the #1 on a winning team. Just don't got it. You guys cannot seriously still believe in this after 5 years of this shit in the playoffs.
He was the best player not named Caleb Martin in this series when he had 2 functional legs

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Boston team pull its starters in a game 7 loss. I’d leave the starters in and make them feel every bit of it.

I don’t even know what space lasers means? And you may hate him, there’s certainly some stuff he’s said that I don’t agree with but that doesn’t change the fact that saying he sucks and his all-nba bid was a media hype campaign is really fucking dumb. To the point that it reaches the level of the dude saying Tatum is faking an injury
Calm down. It was hyperbole. My goodness.

Boston is gonna be 5-6 at home in these playoffs.
Bruins were 1-3 at home.

Nice job going 6-9 at home by the Boston squads.

Protect the civic indeed.

15 first quarter points. 13 fourth quarter points in 10 minutes before a garbage time bucket. Disgraceful

I can’t imagine it’s easy to just shitcan the entire gameplan and play with Tatum as a decoy after the first minute of the game. They made a run in the third but it’s pretty friggen hard to win a Game 7 when your top 5 player can’t move.
And TL got hurt and only played 14 minutes, and Brogdon got hurt and only played a few useless minutes.

They basically lost their best player, and all of their depth in one fell swoop. A better effort would have been nice, but this was an uphill battle the minute Tatum rolled that ankle.

Butler has been terrible most of the series and he's 12/28 today. They're winning because of Caleb Martin and the Celtics, particularly Brown, not being able to shoot all game. Oh and Tatum's ankle.

That was road at least and against a very legit team. The stakes made it awful, of course. This is the Bruins bending over against St Louis. These two franchises have been so fucking disappointing at home. Makes no goddamn sense.
I love the narrative that the Bruins didn’t show up for that game. They dominated that first period and got goalie’d. Then their guy couldn’t make match it.

Brown sucked when the Celtics needed him the most he had an amazing regular season, but his series against the Heat was bad.

Jaylen Brown has been my favorite player for many years. I may be done with him after this. Just an unbelievable, terrible, stupid performance. I can forgive a lot. I can’t really forgive taking shots 5 feet behind the 3P line when you are shooting like absolute crap. It’s time to trade a quarter for two dimes

That's every other team in the league tho, right? Everyone has guys get surgery in the summer.

Not a great lift in the moment.

Trade brown and smart. Together. Separate. But there needs to be seismic changes. This has gone as far as it will go.

And I don't love Tatum either. But if you're keeping someone, I suppose it's him.
Smart is likely trade bait but you can’t trade brown without a plan. There just isn’t a replacement available at his level.

We're all disappointed, but you're an embarrassment.
Sweet.

So, Brown sucked. Other than him...who was more at fault for this blowout than Tatum? The mid-30s center? The 3rd/4th banana that is Marcus Smart? Derrick White hitting 3s and driving the lane to keep us in it?

Oh. No. Nobody. Nobodies at fault. This embarrassment should be owned by nobody.

Yup. Honestly, if we were told that Caleb Martin would perform like this I don’t think it would have shocked anyone to say the Heat won the series. He’s been the best player (on both teams) in this series.
I’ve never fucking seen anything like it
