In the discussion of how to call the foul on Holiday after the steal it was suggested he wasn't headed to the basket and that should impact the call--however, he actually did continue directly towards the basket after the whistle:

Holiday + Brown are exceptional at hands UP, bodying ball handlers, knocking them off their line, & crushing their spirit.

That's one of the reasons the Mavericks aren't nearly as daunting to Boston as other teams. Luka would get 48 minutes of that while pounding the rock into the ground.

Has to be one of the most if not the most satisfying win for Joe. Team on the ropes down 18 and he gets them to lock in and overcome on the road against a desperate team. Totally validating as a coach who was second guessed as in over his head after Ime.
The win gives everyone on the team a serious street cred boost. Nothing soft about this team

His quote in the post-game about not feeling as bad as it looked reminded me of BB talking about being down 21-3 at halftime.

EDIT: Found Joe's quote (in The Athletic):
In so many words, Mazzulla told the Celtics to get their heads out of their assumptions about this game being over.

“When you’re down, it’s kind of like, (expletive), we’re down,” Mazzulla said. “But it wasn’t as bad as it felt, for me personally. In the process of the game, I was like, this feels a lot worse than it actually is. We just gotta tweak a couple of things.

“Once you get out of the mindset of focusing on what happened and get into the mindset of focusing on what needs to happen, then you can just kind of make the shift.”
And here is BB, quoted secondhand via Nate Solder:
[Bill] said that we have to keep doing what we’re doing, play like we know how to play and not think about what happened. They have to score a lot more points to keep us down. We knew we could score enough points to win.”

If you didn’t see Mazzulla’s post game PC, find it, you’ll like it!

Agreed but in watching his PC, he’s really just fighting for his team. IMO, he really carries himself well.
He was pretty good I thought he was going to say something to get fined which would have set the NBA off especially since it is 3-0 now.

How do the Celts typically match up with the Mavs? Jrue on Luka and DW on Kyrie?
Jaylen and Tatum have outplayed Kyrie and Luka every time they played against the Mavs. Luka hasn't beat Tatum since Brunson left, and it took Spencer Dimwiddie going off on the 4th for a 3 point win off where Smart overflopped on poor decision 3.

Yea Miami isn't giving up JJJ now. He's worth MUCH more than TL + Brogdon put together.

BUT I can assure you that wasn't the pushback at the time ;)

Miami wouldn't have given up JJJ for Dame? Wade you're better than that
We discussed this as naseum so I’m sure the answer is buried in the archives.

But as far as I can remember, MIA never offered JJJ - or Jokic - in an offer. That was the sticking point - that MIA never came close to offering the assets they had. See, e.g., https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10091077-damian-lillard-trade-rumors-heat-not-offering-close-to-full-assets-to-blazers.amp.html

Agreed its not worth speculating on what was or wasn't offered by Miami for Dame.
Nobody should be excited by Tyler Herro or Duncan Robinson on those contracts. Adding Jokic + JJJ wasn't getting PDX to bite Pat Riley's offer for Dame

Cronin did a decent job on the 2 trades with Milwaukee & Boston. But thought they should look to move Brogdon to a contender.

Believe me there was plenty of pushback on 23-year-old Jaime Jaquez Jr. having much secondary trade value after being drafted by Miami.
