The amazing Cooper Criswell will tote his scintillating 2.76 ERA to the slab tonight when he faces the hated Rays in St. Petersburg. Tampa is clinging to a slender .5-game lead over a resurgent Boston team that is primed to overtake them. Zack Littell will start for the losers, and while his statistics appear impressive, he can be rattled. Tonight, we'll see a changing of the guards in the AL East standings.

I know you guys love Duran, but that 5-bounce throw is why he’ll never be a decent center fielder.

That’s what I mean. He can’t make a decent throw from left; how the hell can he make throws from center?

But you knew what I was talking about, yes?
Yeah I know. They can’t all be JBJ though. Duran has a howitzer compared to Damon and Ellsbury. I think he’s serviceable out there.

That's interesting. Was there a lot of buzz surrounding the concerts? I know there was a frenzy around the '74 comeback shows with The Band, but by 1978, things had changed. Punk was the rage and the legacy acts had been marginalized, and Street-Legal was largely panned by critics. What was the vibe?

Yep, he just can't lay off that pitch.
A sold out show at Boston Garden and a sold out show at the Springfield Civic Center. The buzz was why is Dylan doing a show with 10 musicians on stage? Critics called it a Vegas routine. He was great.

Nice to hear. I was still about 5 years away in 1978 from my first concert, but I love Bob unconditionally. For me, the 1997-2001 period was peak.
