Sorry, wife. Your team and happiness stand in the way of mine. Bello's going to cook the Mariners' goose and the lineup is going to incinerate the mediocre Gonzales. Probably maybe.

Add a little more tension to my marriage, Sox!

What do you guys know about Justin Garza who pitched the ninth for the Sox last night? All I could find out was that he was totally inactive last year and threw nothing but fastballs last night, getting two ground outs and one fly out.
Anyway, last night was fun, depressing, and fun again. Not too bad. I wouldn't mind a repeat, though I could do without the depressing part.
Geaux, Sox!

He pitched in 21 games for Cleveland in 2021. Other than that, he's been in the minors since he was drafted in 2012 by Cleveland.

Game 44
We hoped the Sox would step up and they did.
A 9 to 4 win, at last, stopped the skid.
The offense was awesome. (They must’ve been
because Pivetta got himself a win.)
Home run production’s no longer barren.
(Thank you to Tristan, Justin, and Jarren.)
The bullpen is even worthy of love.
(Thank you to two guys I’ve never heard of.)
We’d like one more win before we head West.
I believe Bello can help with that quest.
A win for the road would surely feel sweet.
(and so would the Celtics cooling the Heat.)
I hope we use Tuesday's game as a spark.
Stroll in The Garden and walk in the Park!

There is a very strong wind coming from the North now, bringing in frosty weather, at least one night, out here in WMA. It's actually unpleasant outside, even though it's pretty to look at. If it's still going tonight, it might make everything different. Don't know, I'm not a connoisseur of wind at Fenway.

Thanks, as always. They've been so fun to read.

Meanwhile, on the personal front, my son's band concert will be kicking off around the end of the game. The plot thickens.

I know, right? How often do you get a Red Flag warning and a frost watch within 12 hours of each other. But that’s what we have this afternoon and overnight.

Been a rough week of baseball but I’m confident that if Bello continues to build on his last couple starts, Sale is really back, and Paxton can continue to stay healthy and throw 97 then we’ll be fine and this recent downswing is just a slump and not a harbinger of this team’s future level.

I’m with you. I tell myself the slump was not really a slump. It was just two bad losses that happened to come after two wins which both unexpectedly turned into losses after rare and freakish blown saves.

Just once I’d like to see us light up one of these “throws softer than baby poop” lefties.

MLBN has a Monday night football motif (the one with the Manning bros # rotating guests) tonight with Chris Young, CC Sabathia and a woman. They are on screen all the time, on the left, which reduces the screen size and sometimes they laugh continuously. They don't have the capabilities of the Manning boys, so it's just stupid.

A lead!!!

Turner runs likes he’s carrying a piano on his back and that piano has another piano on it
