VVD is below replacement level at this point. Milner is an idiot to challenge Kane in a meaningless area knowing the slightest breeze knocks him over.

lol man does his pigeon dance for his first premier league goal of the year, it's May tomorrow
He’s a laughingstock and it’s all his own doing. If he could behave like a rational human being 25% of the time he’d be a top player. Instead he relies on negative play and emotion to get whatever he can.

It was a Lakers-beat-the-Supersonics kind of day for Everton today.

Calling tomorrow's game at Leicester a six-pointer doesn't do it justice. There are credible reports of investment in the club, maybe enough to get Moshiri and this wretched board out. But if they can't stay up, there's a non zero chance of the club just going tits up, especially with the debt service for the stadium.

That was not as fun as I thought it would be after 5 mins. Didn’t need that today of all days but happy with the result. The Salah call was ridiculous. How can he foul a guy he’s ahead of who’s hanging on for dear life

Yep, The Guardian had an article on Everton's finances today: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/mar/31/evertons-survival-in-doubt-if-relegated-from-the-premier-league

Everton Took the lead with a DCL penalty, but have quickly conceded two goals...god it must hurt being an Evertonian. I'm hurting and I have no soul to speak of.

I hope Everton can get something from this match.

California. Duh.
I have no idea how Calvert-Lewin didn't score a tap-in there, then Leicester immediately break the other way and Vardy puts one off the crossbar.

My dad's having a coniption, he canne believe the chances Everton just missed. Goal gaping inside the six yard box type chances, two in as many minutes. Criminal finishing. Credit the goalie, sure, but shocking finishing from Everton.

I'm at work. I have a new job. I have someone who's junior to me in my office. We've been on conference calls. He's been watching me go through the emotions as I have this game up on a big monitor.

Turns out he's a Napoli fan so he gets it.

Now Coleman is stretchered off. Coleman answered the bell today and he is The Captain but we desperately need more athleticism and attacking intent, so Patterson might be a good thing.

I feel like it should be illegal for Everton to be relegated.
Look - we have no one to blame for ourselves.

This game is the season in miniature. We have played with intent and endeavor and could/should be ahead, but three excellent chances go wanting - two hand-saves and Dom missing that sitter.

And Leicester scoring on an Iwobi fuckup where our CBs are soooo slow defending the counter.

Great, now a handball on Keane.

Everton dodge a bullet as Maddison goes straight down the middle on a penalty and it's saved. Still 2-1 at the half.

Keane what the fuck are you doing you fuckin numpty.
Dyche started with Tarkowski and Coady as his CB pair. He went to Keane who started strong. But lord knows that Keane is prone to the One Big Fuckup - and he turns like a battleship.

Iwobi has been among our better players but that weak-ass pass he left out for Thielmans to pick off and feed to Vardy was pure shit.

I think we need Mina in the back and Gray for Iwobi.

Iwobi looks like he should be so much better. Is it confidence? He just never quite does enough for me.

Dangerous start to the second half. Leicester have figured out that if they just get out wide on their right and run like hell, we are powerless to do anything about it.

Strange player.

Does better centrally. Does better with the ball in tight spaces than when he has a lot of time.

Dyche has him out wide because Gana/|Doucoure/Onana has been the core middle three in his best side, and because Mykolenko has been poor getting forward.

He is energetic and is capable of real quality but like so many of our players he's just prone to the worst fuckups.
