3/17 Celts at Portland...and hopefully, 3/18 Celtics at Utah

Why on God’s green earth would you have Grant take the last shot? He shouldn’t even be in the closing line-up.

Guessing Grant freelanced there. Hardy had a good game-plan defensively as Grande noted. They missed their starting bigs today. That's the story of the game.

On to Sacto.

Team isn't prepared close and late. Team continually loses to teams with less talent. I 100% believe this is a coaching issue.

White is one of their 3 best players yet plays only 25 minutes. Either he is hurt or Joe is braindead.

Grant is similar to Marcus. When he can't hit a shot, I want to see him sent to the bench. And when he makes a bunch of shots, I want him sent to the bench (megalomaniac-level overconfidence).

Grant’s not a very good ball handler, if the final play is for him to drive into two defenders in the paint I’m not sure they can win this.

I know then where going for a 2 for 1 but the 3 Tatum jacked up was ridiculous. Why not just get better look and make the jazz make another play on the other end

The thing is that they were absolutely pantsing everyone for months. And then it was like there was a wall they hit and can't do that anymore. We can't blame the last month on CJM and then also praise them for how awesome they were the rest of the year.

They got 2 for 1 at the half for the first time ever and got too excited.

Tatum was scoreless in the 2nd half, nothing else really matters if he can't get unfucked soon.

Are they potentially stuck with CJM for awhile since he was extended?

Worth noting most of the pantsing came with TL on the shelf just like he is now. It’s a different team for whatever reason.

Excellent point. I'm not sure what the difference is other than them saving bullets for the playoffs or they're just toying with opponents? Can't blame this on Rob being hurt. It's just them playing poorly (or really, Tatum shooting 4/12 and 0 points in the second half).

And again, I'd be more comforted if it is the wrist for Tatum to explain this chronic underpeformance. It did all start after that Indiana game (first out of the break).

But also... lolCetlics injury luck if that is what's going on.

So sick of losing these fucking games we should win. Horrible final two possessions when we needed on goddamn point.

And yeah I think Tatum’s wrist is bothering him, but he’s been missing layups constantly. Maybe stop with those iso 3s if your wrist is causing you to shoot like a rec leaguer.

I would be curious to see ball movement stats. Eye test says they aren’t working for the best shots they way they were early in the season.

I don't know... maybe Tatum should just sit until the playoffs at this point (or maybe 2-3 games before the end of the season)? If he is mildly hurt I'd rather he just rest and get healthy. Same for Marcus. This team is in the playoffs. Might as well start resting guys.

Just another “game they would’ve lost last year, but would’ve won earlier this season, and are back to losing again.”

Grant got too cocky then going for it. He has a tendency of doing that.

But again why is Tatum the play, Brown is the best player by far on this trip
