And pick up an extra year on the contract for their first pick.
It's so interesting to me to wonder weather moving up 60 picks in rounds 3/4 is worth that potential 5th year option. I really don't think it is but I have to think on it. And yes, I'm a complete nerd.

So for round 2 the NFL has to let home town heroes Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson read the picks, right?

I don’t think so, standing alone. But if they thought there was a chance the Bills would trade with someone else and they wanted the player a lot, maybe it bridges the gap.

This version of BB is awesome. Forget coaching.
With the amount of ball washing he received tonight, how clearly he can talk about the history of the game, and how much respect he got from other players/coaches, it seems most are going to quickly forget the last couple of years and focus on him being the GOAT

I'm not 100% sure whether BB knows the Mel Kiper impersonator isn't the real Mel Kiper.

Guess who reacted to the drafting of Drake Maye by saying the following

This is one of the great moments of my life.

One of the podcasts said #34 is a great spot to trade up or trade down.

Or maybe trade for Aiyuk.
Was just thinking a trade for Aiyuk would make a ton of sense here.
Might need to sweeten just a bit but the absolute ceiling for any WR left is Aiyuk so if SF is willing to move him I would try to make it happen. You have ample cap room with a rookie QB and can't make the same mistake with Mac Jones about not giving him weapons.

Not sure how you are trading up from 34 though, only one spot to go unless they are trading it for a 25 1st.

Keon Coleman is worryingly plodding, no? AD Mitchell would be a steal but I assume Buffalo will take him at #33. I'd deal #34 and, say, our 5th for Aiyuk and a 6th.

I wonder if they could both trade a bit down from 34, for a pick or two, then trade that second-rounder for Aiyuk

I hate the idea of trading 34 for Aiyuk and then giving him a top-5 WR contract when the team is not one player away from competing for a championship. Draft the young WR instead and maybe add a veteran stud WR in a year or so when Maye has had some time to develop.

Big slot probably, his upside is.... he has way better hands than Mitchell and runs better routes. He crushed the gauntlet at the combine for example best guy by far

I think Buffalo takes Ladd McConkey, he is a great Diggs replacement to work the middle of the field and provide some YAC. They need WRs that are pro-ready and no one outside the top 3 is as polished as McConkey. AD has a higher ceiling but will probably take a year or two for him to adjust to the NFL game and his floor is very low.

I totally agree with this.

Also totally agree with whoever said that they thought that BB thought that was the real Mel Kiper Jr. I truly believe that.

4.61 forty for Coleman and, from what I understand, tends to run routes a bit more heavily than you'd like, BUT: VERY much a "football player" and play-speed is faster than timed.

I'd love Aiyuk for #34+, or just draft a WR available, but what could we do for our gaping hole at LT? Trade up again for Patrick Paul? That's a lot of draft capital given up for 2 guys when we have several other gaps.

For their sake they better nail the pick after trading out of both the Worthy and Legette spots. McConkey is probably the safer option, but damn... Both those other guys (and Mitchell) are likely to be a lot more explosive. My worry if I was a Bills fan is that Allen will end up scrambling more and putting himself at risk, or that he'll get over reliant on Kincaid.

I mean, Aiyuk at $30M per season for at least three seasons vs young, unproven WR at the rookie minimum for four season plus keep your other draft capital seems like a no-brainer. Aiyuk is the known commodity, but he's tremendously more expensive. I would never trade #34+ for Aiyuk who will require a new fat contract. If he were the final piece or something I'd think about it, but not for the Pats and where they are.
