we face a lot of parked bus tactics and i've always believed teams can play however they like but United have really dropped 11 super deep and it's not going to make for an entertaining one

The 718
The most dull game until City just absolutely beshit themselves at the back and Garnacho buries it.

2-0 Mainoo, off a nicely worked bit. City sleepwalking through this. Couldn’t be arsed, as they say.

nah that second goal is a team achievement and brilliant ball by Bruno. Can't blame a keeper there. For the first who knows it's mostly communication. But we always look a little poor without Ederson's distribution

As a Spurs fan, it's really annoying to see teams just comically misrun like United and Chelsea still snag significant trophies.

The commentators talking about Man U winning the FA Cup final were hilarious. “A major shock”, “against all the odds”. You would think Man U was some sort of non league team, not a major team that finished in the top half of the Premier League

The 8th place team that finished 31 points back and is about to fire their manager beating the champions is a shock. It would be if that 8th place team was West Ham or Brighton or Everton, that doesn't change just because it's Manchester United.

Going by the betting odds it was a 20% chance Man U would win. So an upset but not at the over-the-top giant-killing level that the commentators had it. At one point they said something about the Man U fans never dared to dream about this

I don’t think any premier league team beating another is a shock. It happens. Footy is weird. It is hard even for great teams to score goals. City were drawn or lost eleven times this year in the league.

But even if It isn’t shocking that United won a game, it is kind of shocking that they won the Cup. They played legitimate teams on their way to the final.

If Pep really wanted this trophy, City would not have partied that hard after the league trophy.
Think Pep is toying with Utd, turning their fans against them for sacking the manager that brought 2 trophies to the team.

ETH getting a rawer deal than LVG, if he gets sacked.

Reminds me of Mourinho's "Football Airitige" speech.

ManU has mostly been a clown cart since Sir Alex retired; but there are still world class players in the squad. It's an upset, but let's not go nuts on the size of it. It's still a club with high expectations. The players and staff were not going to be happy to just reach the final.

This is why I have to believe Ten Hag's proclamation that he will win elsewhere if he is fired will fall on deaf ears. The bottom line is they finished in 8th with a negative differential. A great cup run will not save him. The standards, and cash spent on the squad, are still high. The hard question is who can they line up. We have seen multiple big club struggle to hire managers this Spring.

Let’s take it easy on that last point. United had a good day today. They parked a bus and got a once a season mistake for one goal and Bruno who is their only true world class player made a world class play. They deserved their victory because that’s cup football. But they were still the team they were all year and he has had plenty of matches to prove that he can improve an expensive squad he had a major hand in assembling.
