Taylor's second shot at 16 was an unforced error. Looked like a terrible lie off the tee. Might have been better off trying something more controllable into the fairway and a clean up-and-down chance than going for the distance. Club stuck in the rough.Tommy is going to ruin the day for the Canadians
If it weren't Fleetwood in this spot, I'd be bummed. But I like him and he deserves a winWe'll see how polite they are when Tommy finishes birdie-birdie
Totally agree.Obviously it didnt come into play, but that rule should be changed. You should not not be able to improve your lie, such as going from rough to fringe, on a drop due to a sprinkler head. The drop should be no closer to the hole in as close to the same lie as possible.

I got it at least. Good one.And if you don’t love him now, you will never love him again.
Nah, the Par 5 gives him a cushionYikes, Fleetwood in danger of choking this one away.
Two putts for a playoff, though, and he's been putting greatJust a baffling decision.
He played to tie, didn’t play for the win. There’s very few scenarios where he hits wood for his 2nd shot and loses. The risk was basically cold topping it into the creek, which was pretty minimal. Everything other outcome for that shot and he’s probably looking at up and down for the win, and he has like a zero chance at a bogey. Two putts for a playoff, though, and he's been putting great
True, but even with the second shot he chose to make, if he hits fairway he's looking up and down for the win. Maybe he felt better about doing that from 80 yard range from the fairway and just mishit. Who knows, pressure does wacky things to golfersHe played to tie, didn’t play for the win. I would guess they do everything they can to finish the tournament in front of the corporate seating. Why not go to 9 now instead of playing 18 again?
What was the playoff a year or two ago where they played the same hole eight times?Time to play 18 for the 4th time in their last 5 holes.
Taylor has birdied it 2 of the 3 times. At some point they need to play this hole well.
Edit: apparently this is not the time
Not really, though that's a nice benefit when it happens. It's more about daylight, where all of the fans are already, where all of TV gear is already, and what's already been pulled up off the course already (radars, Shotlink cameras, fiber, etc.)I would guess they do everything they can to finish the tournament in front of the corporate seating.
