Brooks is out early so he may be in a good spot to keep running before the weather rolls in.

I don’t love the bro and douche part of Brooks but I find myself pulling for him again a little bit. Maybe it was the Full Swing episode that showed a different side of him.I am rooting for other players more than him but I also think him winning would be a pretty crazy story.

I thought in the Full Swing episode showed what we already knew, that the “golf sucks, I’m just so good at it” shtick is there to mask a lot of insecurities that he had.

That and his trophy wife seems like horrible person.

I think Koepka winning would be interesting but I won’t be pulling for it.

Didn't get a chance to watch much yesterday, but my wife is a big Jason Day fan, so it's nice to see him in a good spot to compete for the first time in awhile.

I thought you had to be old to have a trophy wife.

We can file this one under "dumb golf rules that shouldn't exist"
I agree. They're competitors, but if they want to share information, why can't they? I mean, if Patrick Mahomes is behind center, and Bobby Wagner says, hey we are going to blitz, that might not be the smartest thing to do, but so what? If Gerritt Cole is pitching to Raffy Devers and says, I'm throwing you a fastball, he's allowed to do that.

Well part of it is there are 90+ competitors. If two are sharing information amongst themselves that’s a competitive advantage over the rest of the field.

Koepka 5 shots clear of everyone and done for the day, which will likely be an advantage.

Still a lot of golf to play, so all is not lost yet.

The weather forecast really missed on this one. It is expected to drizzle, maybe, but temps in the 70s and 80s.

On Tuesday, it was looking like 50s. 70s is much better.

I really hate the tired "It's just a matter of time before Rory/Xander/Cantlay/etc wins one of these" statements. It is said so often, and we've clearly seen before that is not how golf works. Just off the top of my head... Trevino, Johnny Miller, Weiskopf, Kite, Strange, Norman, Ernie, and Love III were all great golfers who never won the Masters. It is hard enough just to get one major. And the talent is so deep now. It's been nine years since Rory's last major -- he many never got another one, never mind a Masters.

And that makes me sad.

Xander especially. They have spent the entire last two days talking about how Xander is certain to win the Masters.

It is, like you said, very NOT certain.

Apparently Augusta is in a valley so a lot of times clouds come in and look like they're going to hit but go above / below the city. Note that this was told to me by a 18-22 year old kid working at a golf course so full grain of salt.

Dottie says they are holding the players in place while the alarm system in the background sounds like an air raid telling people to vaccinate and get to cover.

Ugh autocorrect. I’ll leave it

Didn't know Augusta was in cahoots with Gates with the microchipping given he said he wanted to join one day.

Yeah the course itself is right next to a hilly section of town (Summerville) that seems to redirect a lot of weather systems. I'm about 5 minutes away, just across the river, and it sometimes seems like a totally different climate just minutes away. For the record, the sun is shining here and I was surprised to see that the horn sounded.

Stupid question....how do guys mark their ball on the green in these cases? Just a weighted marker? Surely they don't shove a tee into the putting surface.

MTG will not allow that in her state!

Autocorrect aside, where the hell are people supposed to go in a situation like this?

EDIT: Dammit, @kenneycb beat me to it.

Not watching the broadcast. What are they thinking as far as a restart?
They haven’t really said, they are just interviewing Bennett.

The radar made it look like it would blow through quick. Dottie said they were holding the players in place which usually means they think it’ll be quick but at the same time they are evacuating the course so Dottie could have bad information.

This might be the shortest delay I’ve ever seen. Did people even make it out from the evacuation order? Does Augusta just have hidden bunker complexes people can duck into?

They were shoving tees all over the greens during the practice round as 'targets' mimicking different pin placements.

I heard rumors there were tunnels underneath. I'd honestly believe anything about the place.

There are tunnels! They built one under the main road adjacent to the course a few years ago for quick access to the new television and digital compound (which itself is built on a 28-acre former shopping mall property they bought at some point in recent years). Oh, and that's apparently different than the giant media center they built near the driving range a few years ago.

I meant tunnels underneath the actual course. The ones where the crab people live.

Helluva bounce for Rahm. Hit that tree hard.

Cam Smith's 230-yard hybrid from a fairway bunker to within 20 feet of the pin is among the more insane shots I think I've ever seen live.

Free parking near the venue, low concessions prices and free streaming of live coverage.

Every event should be like this
