Haha, had to be @sodenj5. He’s been the creative leader here over the last few years.Wait, hold on. Pause on the Dolphins analysis for a second.
Who came up with the new thread title? Bravo.
I just think Mac and the Pats pose less of a threat to throw deep, and they’re a far greater threat to play ball control and keep the ball from Miami’s offense.I agree 100% and think it's more likely that he rests another week, despite finally practicing. My #1 concern about the Pats is there very tough, physical front; thus, I prefer to see Miami roll out the unit that's played the most together this offseason. Let TA practice another week and get the rust off versus Denver at home.
I'm also expecting Fangio to call a more aggressive gameplan this week. I think NE will run and dink and dunk effectively otherwise.

Perfect thread title.
Appreciate your insight!here is my 02 on denver much better on off this year but weaker on def unless u overlook us for buffalo u should win by 10-14 pts
no plom denver has never played well in miami i think they are 1-8 all time thereAppreciate your insight!
Not for this game. Miami might put up 50 on Sean Payton and the Broncos.Michael Irvin on NFL Gameday Morning today: "I am on the Miami Dolphins to go to the Super Bowl".
Sorry Miami fans, kiss of death right there.
Waaaaaayyy offNot for this game. Miami might put up 50 on Sean Payton and the Broncos.
Is it OK to wait 'til, like, tomorrow to pump the brakes? What with this being an all-time NFL performance and all? Geez. Also, for what it's worth, the first two wins were conference games on the road. Always big in this league. As unstoppable as Miami’s offense has been, let’s pump the brakes a little. They faced three bad teams (LA is mediocre) to start the season. Having said, they should be #1 in the power rankings this week. Great game coming up against Buffalo.
Celebrate the success, for sure. My point is don’t get too cocky when we have tougher opponents ahead. The Dolphins are super fast and talented while missing hood players. Is it OK to wait 'til, like, tomorrow to pump the brakes? What with this being an all-time NFL performance and all? Geez. I like your narrative shift. I would certainly argue Denver is the only “bad” team they’ve played. As unstoppable as Miami’s offense has been, let’s pump the brakes a little. You’re a dolphins fan you should be massively pro nerd right now with your terrific coach who probably does play dungeons and dragons on the sideAlso to the nerds that were trying to downplay Miami’s start because their point differential wasn’t that spectacular, how’s a +50 for you?

This is like a Bill Swerski SuperFans scoreI said 50, but meant win by 50.
I’m pro nerd. I’m anti people looking to poke holes in what looks like one of the best offenses in the history of football through three weeks. You’re a dolphins fan you should be massively pro nerd right now with your terrific coach who probably does play dungeons and dragons on the side
Not me! Tua is playing great the dolphins offense is great and the only question is how long can they keep this up!I’m pro nerd. I’m anti people looking to poke holes in what looks like one of the best offenses in the history of football through three weeks.
Also, I look forward to people continuing to find new and interesting ways to denigrate Tua while complimenting Miami’s offense.
I'm just a little surprised the Broncos took nothing from the Patriots 3-safety defense. Payton was cool with just getting carved up, I guess.great game u are the afc fav but your DB'S are a worry denver had 2 more TD'S that was stopped by your takeaways to win it all u need 35 a game can u do that aga KC BAIT etc
Tua Tagovailoa on decision not to kick for NFL scoring record: “We’re not trying to humiliate teams.”
This may sound like a weird comp, but I get some Kurt Warner vibes from Tua (ok maybe not so weird given the thread title). Warner didn't have a huge arm, sometimes threw a wobbly ball, etc. But he was the QB for one of the best offenses of all time. He hit Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt and they went up and down the field and scored a zillion points. Warner obviously eventually ended up in the HOF; if Tua ends up there too, you'd obviously be thrilled. So, credit to Tua for what he is doing, similar to Warner back in the day. It does feel to me that other guys could be doing similarly in that offense; but again, that's impossible to prove. If I had my pick of QB to start a team Tua probably wouldn't be in the top 10 (I haven't given it a ton of thought). But he's producing and they're scoring the points and you can't take that away from him.I’m pro nerd. This was an insane game. Every time I looked up, the Dolphins had the ball on Denver's 20. And then they scored. It didn't stop. I have never seen anything like it. I just looked up again and Miami has the ball on the Denver 18. On a Monday. The Phins really missed Waddle yesterday! What a fun offense to watch, and any team that sticks it to Payton like that is alright by me. Really looking forward to the Bills game this Sunday...
You would think that to score 70, they would have had a bunch of short fields, maybe defensive or special teams scores, but I think 8 of their 10 TD drives were 68+ yards. 726 yards is almost more impressive to me than 70 points. 350+ yards both through the air and ground. This was an insane game. Hey man, Tua is 5-0 against the Patriots. We don’t celebrate wins against them anymore.Let’s not forget, they already won their Super Bowl. It’s in the books.
This offense looks bonkers. A healthy Tua and the AFC East is wide open (between the Bills and the Phins).
Everyone said that Tua is a left-handed Drew Brees during his pre-draft evaluations. I think that pretty much nails it. Tua is a little bigger and taller than Brees was, but I think they play the game in the same way, with similar strengths and weaknesses. This may sound like a weird comp, but I get some Kurt Warner vibes from Tua (ok maybe not so weird given the thread title). I think this is the biggest difference from last year. Last year, McDaniel kept trying to force the passing game, even when teams had started to figure out how to slow it down. You would think that to score 70, they would have had a bunch of short fields, maybe defensive or special teams scores, but I think 8 of their 10 TD drives were 68+ yards. 726 yards is almost more impressive to me than 70 points. 350+ yards both through the air and ground.
It was the most points scored by RBs in fantasy football history. Just amazing. You would think that to score 70, they would have had a bunch of short fields, maybe defensive or special teams scores, but I think 8 of their 10 TD drives were 68+ yards. 726 yards is almost more impressive to me than 70 points. 350+ yards both through the air and ground.
Probably because a.) Sean Payton is a douchebag and has done it many times to other teams and b.) Miami gave them a mercy kneel down instead of tying the all time record. So far this AM, I haven't seen any national media gasping about running up the score yesterday. Weird.
You must have missed 2007.Probably because a.) Sean Payton is a douchebag and has done it many times to other teams and b.) Miami gave them a mercy kneel down instead of tying the all time record.
Just insane... I wish I had watched some of it.... I assume those youtube 10-12 minutes highlight videos NFL usually puts out will be about 30 minutes this week for this gameNot counting their end of 1st half possession (one play, six yards, end of half), they had 13 possessions:
10 touchdowns
1 punt
2 turnovers on downs
Of their TD possessions:
- 2 were very short fields (1 play, 3 yards, TD, 2 plays, 8 yards, TD)
- 7 were 75 yards or more
That's unbelievable, to have SEVEN possessions of 75+ yards for TDs.
This will become a story if it happens a few more times. For now, Miami is a feel-good up and comer, who will challenge KC, etc. If they hang 70 on Buf next week you can bet McDermott will be crying. So far this AM, I haven't seen any national media gasping about running up the score yesterday. Weird.
