Not sure where best to put this but I already can't wait for October. I'm ready for the quest for 19. I love this team and I can't wait to watch them without the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Short rest period, then Olympics for us to watch Tatum, Jrue, and probably White. Then another short break before camp breaks.

And the draft is in a few days.

I encourage people to walk through the first few pages of the thread- back before the Holiday trade, even ("Brogdon will be healthy in camp"). People talking about the bench roles; people noting the potential for five-out offense; people noting how amped the crowd was even at the first pre-season game. Man, feels like a long time ago and it really was a journey this year - even as the first since dynasty Pats team that started a season as a favorite and carried that weight succesfully to the banner.

The team will mostly, perhaps in terms of material contributors essentially all, be back next year. But it is always different in a new year. It may be better, it may be worse but it will surely be different.

And so I will miss this 2023-2024 team, and remember them very, very fondly....thank you 2023-2024 Boston Celtics. You were a great TEAM, you played together, and you got it done - Banner 18.

Wouldn’t bet against Cassell getting the Detroit job.
So I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere else yet, but Cassell is returning, per Brian Robb:

"Sam Cassell was a candidate for open head coaching jobs around the league and was heavily targeted as an assistant per sources. However, it appears he will be back alongside Mazzulla for next season."
