Is Tyler Kolek the best basketball player from RI since Marvin Barnes and Ernie D?
The leap this kid made since people were saying he was over his head at George Mason a couple years ago has been unreal. He’s a late bloomer just like his dad was. His dad played D-3 at some Massachusetts school but by the time he was 23-24 could have played at any D-1 school in the country and not been out of place.

Tommy Garrick played in the NBA for 5-6 years, Coke Swider is there now and Ricky Ledo was more talented than all of them but was lazy and a low IQ player. So yeah, Kolek is right up there.

Duke trailed for 4:32 out of the 120 minutes they played. All in the first half vs Miami.

9 straight wins, and I believe they are 18-1 when fully healthy. They’re only around a 4 seed by most of the metrics but they’re playing like a much better team than their profile.

Of course, anecdotally it seems like the proverbial “team no one wants to play” never makes it all that far. Will be very interesting to see how the bracket shakes out. Duke as a 4 would make for a potentially quite compelling regional vs a 1.

Every team in the ACC is terrible. It's hard to gauge how good this team is, but I guess we'll see when they play someone.

It will be really interesting how the committee handles that #4/#5 seed in the East Regional. You have two candidates in UConn and Duke who are right on the 4 seed line and would have a distinct home court advantage at MSG if they are placed there. Whoever is the #1 seed in the East is not going to want to see either of those two schools as their opponent in the Sweet 16.

Duke to the South and UConn to the West?

or make UConn a 3 seed

Somehow Penn State has gotten within 2 of Purdue with 3.5 seconds left … and they have the ball.

Edit: and they screwed around and didn’t even get a shot off - got called for traveling. Purdue survived. Was up 15 or so with 6 minutes left.

Purdue is so primed to be an early out in this tournament. Guard play is so crucial in these games and even against double digit seeds they make have the inferior backcourt.

This is incredible - UNC’s fake paper classes continue to be a thing as Michigan wouldn’t accept Caleb Love’s transfer credits lol

North Carolina transfer Caleb Love is no longer committed to Michigan and has reopened his recruitment, sources confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday.

Love committed to the Wolverines last month, but sources told ESPN there was an admissions issue related to credits transferring

I was told UM wouldn’t credit his UNC classes (the history of fake ass ones has to be a reason) so he was having to start over academically.
I didn't know if Ale meant from UNC or from Michigan, but any way Michigan shouldn't be throwing stones about "fake classes" given their own history with them.
