Atlanta, GA
I watched a Nets-Clippers game earlier this year. Clippers were wearing black uniforms with white lettering. Nets were sporting the white unis. The scorebug had the Nets on a black background and the Clippers on white. The court had the Clippers logo on a white background at center court and the paint was painted red.

I am old but I don’t care. That was stupid.

Apparently one ring was enough for AD, he has no interest in playing the 5 this year for any real amount of time, and it kills the Lakers.

Also, Paul is clearly hurt his handle is sloppy, which is insane given he's an all-time great handles guy.

I’m wondering if they numbed Paul’s shoulder or something, he looks so loose with the ball

Lakers are trash. I’m not even worried about them this year.
I was preaching this the past couple days but met with much resistance. It’s been pretty clear to me. I mean they “could” still FTS but I don’t expect that switch to turn on.

Can’t watch rn but see there’s been 172 fouls in the past minute. Is it legit or is the league helping Lebron

I was not a believer, but that's because I though AD would be willing to dominate at C. Without that, and LeBron looking around 80%, they're probably toast

harrell should get tossed
He def will. T on Payne and Harrell ejected is the correct ruling. Let’s see if they make it.

Paul didn’t get position on LeBron so foul there was right but that wasn’t malicious at all.

Mostly just fouls, Caruso just going to the floor every time he gets contact now, and he got a couple charges out of it, not "bad" calls, but rewarding a guy for shitty D.

Make up call lol.

Wow! This was such a well officiated game up until that altercation now the wheels fall over these 3.

This will be reversed but now LA has lost their challenge. This rule has to change next year to better mimic the NHL challenge rule.

I don’t watch much hockey, is the rule you get to keep the challenge if you get it right?

If they challenge and lose they receive a 2-min delay of game penalty......for every losing challenge beyond these it is a 4-min double minor. Maybe the NBA can institute a two FT technical if you lose a challenge.

I always say a young player learns more from his teammates than he will from any coach. Booker jamming on his breaks Chris Paul style made me smile.

How many more chances does LeBron have at a title as the guy anyway? Maybe he's the NBA's Tom Brady but if not, he doesn't have much longer.

LeBron has to be hurt because healthy, world-killer LeBron is not this passive. Way too many key possessions when the game was still in reach where KCP/Caruso/Schroeder were being asked to make tough shots.

I don't think Davis will be this bad in future games. The X factor for this Phoenix team is Ayton and he was GREAT today. Lakers will not win any games if Ayton outplays Davis.

They both missed a lot of time and are now in their preseason while Phoenix is in playoff condition both mentally and physically. LeBron wasn’t the same when he returned last year either. What you saw today is what the Lakers are at the present time. I believe this with every fiber of my NBA soul.

Yeah, I think they can be had. This team made the 6th fewest 3’s this year. You get them down and you can finish them.

Well, obviously what we saw today is what they are in the present.

I think everyone agrees that if LeBron is this fit the Lakers are not a threat to win anything this year. The question is if he can get healthier over the next few games.

Blown away by Booker today. Not the scoring but the little things. Getting in there just to be an extra body on a defensive rebound, etc. There was even a miss he had late where he turned and sprinted 100% max to just give a foul on lebron and make sure there was no layup. He was impressive.

I hope time and youtube dont forget lebron's flop during that little scrum that broke out. I expected the kennedy assassination on the replay but....nope. that was top 5 disgraceful. Damn him to hell.

I still love Marv.

After Alex Len misses badly on a wild running hook shot......”Len, very ACTIVE on the offensive end.”

This is when I’d love to be on color next to him to respond, “Len is going to be very INACTIVE on the bench if he keeps taking shots like that.”
It must be sundown syndrome which kicked in the other night. He was for the most part coherent today.

Which is why I don’t understand why everyone was so defensive about them being the favorites or the team to beat in the West......or even expecting them to get past Phoenix for that matter. You don’t get into game shape during the playoffs....if they do it will be an incredible feat but I still think it is much more than the injuries. I hate their lineups and roles guys are playing that take away from Davis being able to dominate the game.

May have caught a break with Paul’s annual playoff injury though.

I think this is key and isn't being mentioned enough. Obviously true that LBJ looks like 80% of himself. In re comments on his lack of FTs, that's because he wasn't driving to the room. And just as obviously Davis was terrible. He needs to be at the 5 and Drummond on the bench. But just as much they had tons of wide open 3s that they clanged. And the reality is that, sure, while in another game KCP and Matthews will hit for a better percentage, but overall they're simply not that good of a 3 point shooting team. LBJ might get healthier. Davis can definitely play better. But not sure they can develop reliable 3 point shooting out of what they have.

I picked Phx to win the series 4-2 and would probably stick with that. The "resistance", at least on my part, had to do with why the Lakers would lose.

Do you have a similar take on Brooklyn's chances (round 2 on) since KD and Harden missed so much time? Their big three logged such a small number of games together.
