We’re calling the first 10 minutes of summer league more important than actual NBA playoffs now?
Haha of course not, obviously meant with respect to his entire career, not today.

I’ve consistently been leaving the door open to Romeo turning it around far a variety of reasons discussed as nauseum.

Was referring to a group of posters who don’t seem even a little worried that he has been so so terrible this far in his career offensively thus far.

So far the French guy has been about as good as Romeo. I liked the way he went straight up on defense when challenged at the basket.

Cooper hasn't been bad. If we didn't already have 6 guys under 6' 2", he might've been a good pickup in the draft.

I liked Hauser too. The defensive issues are obviously there but the guy can get his shot off.

Yeah, Cooper looks good. He is maybe a bit flashy, and not as quick as you need. Then again it might be Edwards covering him, which means it means nothing.

All the second year guys are having a brutal game. Not that we need any more evidence to be skeptical of “best shape of his life / working on his game “ off season stories

Seeing fouls to stop fast breaks after seeing how it's handled in the olympics is pissing me off. This has to be addressed in the NBA, sooner rather than later.

Lots of passing around the perimeter followed by 30 foot jump shots this game by the Cs.

I'm not terribly worried about Romeo, they're trying him out in a new role, I am disappointed with Pritchard, he's supposed to be a PG that's been his role all along and he still is bad at it even against weak competition. Carsen is a AAAA player, he looks good against rookies and scrubs, but never continues it against real NBA players.

Hawks have to be happy, at least from the very early results. Looks like they just had a good draft.

I think Carsen has looked pretty bad. Romeo has too.

Romeo hasn’t really been playing a new role. They’ve had one or two of the Pg types on the floor most of the times he’s been out there. I think the most charitable thing you can say is that the team has been settling for so many deep 3s with no ball movement so he’s really not setup to do what he theoretically can do on offense

Pritchard's jumper looks nice. There is a role on this team for a ball-handler who can also catch and shoot from the top of the key when the Js go to the basket.

They're trying to play him as a ballhandler, that's a new role. I don't care if he's out there with Pritchard for example, he's still being asked to initiate offense and set up teammates off the drive (also Pritchard isn't really a PG) if he looks terrible long term I'll be a bit worried, but usually when you ask a guy to take a new role in SL you expect him to struggle.

I’m not convinced he’s a pg at least in the half court on offense, but he has a real skill set that plays even if his shot hasn’t been falling today.

They’ve talked about it in the press. They aren’t asking him to be the ball handler in this game much

Wish the Celtics could have found at least 1 or two G-League level bigs, they're playing with guys who are headed for like 4th or 5th tier leagues and it's killing the flow.

Pritchard had 2 awful plays there, one Nesmith saved for a layup the other almost got a guy killed reaching back. His vision and passing touch suck for a nominal PG

Anybody else like how Hauser is moving on D? Not hitting shots but he certainly will.

I had the opposite reaction. He looks slow to me which explains why he wasn't drafted. I don't know who he defends in the NBA.

I think he needs to add weight, I don't see him really sticking with 3s and NBA 4s are gonna grown man strength him into oblivion. He needs to big a PF I think

Cooper eating Hauser alive. I'm not seeing any two-way players on this Celtics squad.

Carsen is better at finishing contested layups than he is at hitting 3-pointers.
