best $5 ive spent and it's only been like an hour
I would pay extra for this every week. It's awesome.

Also having SVP and Sean McDonough calling golf is so good. I feel dirty complimenting ESPN but here we are.

Does it look like they'll allow replays of the featured groups later on ESPN+? I'm stuck at work now but would love to watch this tonight.

Tiger's ball clearly rolls into the bunker. Announcer's like, "I think it stayed in the fairway."

Immediately cut to the ball in the bunker because the ball clearly rolled into the bunker. That was excellent.

I’m loving this ESPN featured group coverage. Except for Curtis Strange. He sucks.

Pretty obvious to tell the CBS production crew took over. 2 featured groups, Varner, Norris is basically all they are showing. ESPN was a million times better earlier.

The general ESPN feed with SVP and Sean McDonough this morning is how all golf coverage should be. Just awesome to watch and very well produced.

It was jarring to switch over to the CBS crew.

Yes, as long as he didn't break it in anger, he can replace the club. Of course, whether he feels comfortable swinging a newly repaired driver that he hasn't had a chance to hit on the practice range is a separate issue...
Actually, that rule changed in 2019. You can break your clubs in anger all you want and replace them.

ESPN returns and we’ve seen shots from 10-12 different players within 5 minutes. Some where tape delay, but the difference is noticeable.

Whoever has been operating the fairway camera on 18 has no clue where the balls are

The course was certainly getable if you stay out of the rough and when it wasn't windy.....but if you are off just a bit, it would cost you

I thought it looked beautiful on TV. The bay, city, the trees lining the holes came across as very scenic.

On their preview pod, the NLU guys quoted a golf Data company that crunched the numbers and turned up Torrey Pines (South) as the closest comparable regular tour course. The seems like a fair comparison, even visually. On the water, narrow fairways, deep rough. Torrey is longer though, 7700 yards. Harding is 7200.

I can't wait to wake up on Monday morning and discover that Zach Johnson will be looking to complete his career grand slam at Winged Foot next month.

For those of you who got to watch a decent amount of the coverage yesterday, what did you think of the golf course?
It's mundane. If it wasn't in SF it would still be a lettuce farm
