I don’t understand why it’s “not good”.
Josh may not be the next Browns head coach, but I don’t read much into the fact that we didn’t have a press conference on Friday.
Why is everyone assuming that just because McDaniels didn’t leave Cleveland with the job already in hand that it isn’t happening? Maybe the Browns just wanted some time to make sure of their decision and always planned for it to be that way. Maybe they’ve already come to a hand shake agreement with Josh and are delaying the announcement for one reason or another.Seems like his heel turn in Indianapolis combined with the Patriots’ poor offensive showing this season have spooked owners and considerably cooled McDaniels’ head coaching job prospects. I’m sure he will get consideration for a job in the not too distant future though. There is so much turnover among NFL head coaches and only so many qualified candidates.
