DJ misses again, wow, I can't believe how much different this is from the morning session.

4 under through 8 holes alternate shot is really fucking impressive, but still wouldn't mind seeing a pulse from Phil and Bryson.

And we're tied at 3-3.

Edit: Sorry Europe up 4-3 now. It's all on the last match. Can the US team get a point this afternoon?

Bubba, Phil and Bryson seem unplayable at this point. I could be talked into playing Webb, but I don’t know where you would put him in.

I forget Molinari is the Open Champion. He's so unassuming. But the dude can play.

5-3 to Europe. First whitewash in a foursome session for Europe.

So, tommorow’s fourball?

Finau/Koepka is the sure thing.

DJ/Rickie very likely

I think Spieth/Reed or Tiger/JT. But none of them played great.

Either the other combo above, or Phil/Bryson. I’m guessing Phil/Bryson, with them and Webb and Bubba sitting in the afternoon. Foursomes will be the other JT/Tiger or Spieth/Reed combo.

I would probably keep them all pretty close to this morning's pairings, with the exception of maybe putting Bryson in for Reed with Tiger. If they all play well, I would keep them all together for foursomes.

Not a big deal, but I'm surprised the Golf Channel didn't send Brandel and Frank over to France to cover this. Seems like they are always on site for the big tourneys, instead of stuck in this closet in Orlando.

I think the adopting will come (hopefully) in tomorrow's afternoon matches. Im sure he didn't plan on playing Phil and Bryson only once before Sunday, but in my opinion thats what he'll need to do.

and yeah, that first match will be great. Im not sure I have another 2am wakeup in me though...

Yes, and in their place they have Justin Leonard who has the combination of being both unlikable and uncharismatic/untalented as a broadcaster. Chamblee is unlikable, but he's undeniably good at his job. Duval, Begay, etc. have limitations as broadcasters, but at least they are likable. Leonard brings nothing to the table, IMO.

And Nobilo has the voice of an angel.

Going to be another early wake up for me again tomorrow. Gotta get earlier than 4:45 I think, I didn't catch up to live until the end of fourball.

Side note: I'm currently exhausted.

Hindsight is everything, but I was honestly shocked that Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson played alternate shot while Tiger Woods and Koepka sat.

I understand you don't want to sit those guys completely on the first day but say they play in the morning together and then you bring out Reed and Tiger in alternate shot?

I don't know. Furyk obviously has a plan and was sitting pretty after the morning session but alternate shot is made for players who have consistency as a strength. Mickelson and Watson do not.

The problem is trying to watch every shot, gotta be more tactical. When a match gets down by 3, I usually skim it until it gets more competitive.

I really wish the Tiger/Reed pairing wasn't getting a repeat. Especially since they drew Molinari/Fleetwood again. I'd rather see Tiger with Bryson or even Webb.

Phil can spend the day bouncing some choice lines off Bubba to get ready for this year's Sunday night press conference massacre. Bryson can spend the morning doing the math on a new points system to make sure we never see Bubba on a Ryder Cup team again. Maybe you only award half-points for Riviera and Augusta.

They weren't showing enough shots to fast forward through shots. I fast forwarded a ton...I just had 3 hours to make up in a 2.5 hour span. It's actually sad on NBC's part that they showed so many commercials that I could catch up in the first place.
