There have been several reports indicating that IT and Wade led the meeting and subsequent burial of Love and that there is a divide between the new Cavs players and the ones that were there last season.
I wonder if Crowder was involved. Look at this video from the Spurs game where it appears that Ae looks at Love on the floor and then walks past him, not even offering a hand to get up.

BTW, Lue moving Crowder to the bench for TT.

Cavs score 38 in the first quarter against Indy. They are only up 7. That team simply doesn't know the concept of defense.

Cavs should be putting this one away and instead are finding exciting new ways to turn the ball over.

Thomas has played another terrible game tonight, very sloppy. Cavs will still win, but Thomas is a problem for them

So-called King James with the ultra-rare quad-double: 26 pts, 10 reb, 11 ast, 11 tov.

Cavs hold on for their first win over someone not named Orlando in almost a month. And there was much rejoicing.

Rubio hits a 3 with 5 seconds left to put the Jazz up 95-93 over the Raptors. Did he shoot too soon?

Donovan Mitchell is going to win ROY and Kuzma may finish second - and I love Simmons. 26 points tonight on 9-20 shooting including 4-7 from deep.

I believe the trio of Harden/Paul/Capela are still undefeated when all play (17-0 last I saw), that will be challenged tonight, still down 10 at the end of the 3rd quarter and it took a big run to get it that close.

Any question concerning whether Rubio should shoot or not has a pretty clear answer. And the answer is typically "not", though in this case it worked out just like Quin Snyder drew it up.

Oh, and here come the Rockets.

I thought this game was over a few minutes ago when the officials didn’t give Harden the 3-pointer on the continuation, then the Pels hit a 3 on the other end. (Not that it was the wrong call, but Harden gets that one 90% of the time.)

Cousins is probably done for the year. Non contact leg injury that he couldn't put any weight on

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? They give Harden a bullshit foul call on a 3 at the buzzer. Now he has 3 shots to tie it up. Such fucking bullshit.

Harden misses the 2nd, but doesn't hit the rim. Jrue Holiday doesn't have the same problems, and he misses his on purpose on the other end, and time runs out. Nice win by NOLA, but probably going to cost them Boogie.

Damn Cousins with the likely ACL injury. Just when I was thinking a real F--- S--- up candidate was developing in the west. This could also impact the trade deadline significantly.

Did they announce ACL? That didn't look like a knee injury to me. Looked like his achilles.

I love Mitchell and Kuzma, and if I had a vote, it would probably be Mitchell, but unless things change dramatically down the stretch, I think Simmons is going to win easily, and Kuzma is a distant third. The Lakers pulled him back out of the starting lineup, so no way he finishes ahead of Simmons who is now running the show for an up and coming Philly team.

Mitchell is averaging a nice 19ppg, but Simmons is averaging 16.7ppg, 8.1rpg and 7.4apg (oh yeah, and 1.8 steals per game). Those are crazy numbers unless your name is Lebron, Harden, Westbrook..Simmons is doing it without even shooting the 3 (he went 10/11 from the field tonight against the Spurs, went 21/5/7 and they won by 19). He's shooting over 50% from the field because he knows his limitations. Just so impressive for a rookie.

Edit: I take it back. I still vote Simmons. Mitchell would need to get that PPG up over 24-25 for me to put him above what Ben is doing.

Whew, Pels hold on, barely.

Pels do the smart thing and intentionally clank the the second FT with a 2-pt lead and the Rox out of timeouts (unlike the Pacers a couple weeks ago who dumbly sank the second FT and ended up allowing LeBron a clean look at a game-winning three from 24 ft).

Didn't watch it, but from the stat sheet it looks like CP3 wildly outplayed the Beard tonight. You could make a case that CP3 has been the best player on that team since he returned from his injury, or at worst 1a/1b. That's more due to CP3 being incredible than to Harden not being great, but I gotta think that dulls Harden's MVP case a bit. Though I think Harden still deserves and probably gets it (assuming things hold roughly where they are now).

Most importantly: fingers crossed for Boogie. I was about to post that this Pelicans win (following a stretch of very solid play) may have finally represented them turning a corner from mildly annoying bubble team to legitimately scary #5-6 seed. Given their absolutely shit luck with injury in AD era, they really, really deserve a little bit of good luck here.

CP3 was the Rockets’ best player tonight, but “wildly outplayed” overstates it. Harden had 11 assists and was the guy the Rockets habitually leaned on to get off a shot near the end of the 24 (so some bad looks that hurt the %s, but good team play).

This Boogie injury sucks. The guy is having his best season as a pro and was straight up dominating the opposition just about every night.

There is no silver lining to this except that it now opens up a spot for Lou Williams or CP3.

Or PG13, I guess. Though I feel like he should be snubbed just to bust Westbrook's chops for being such a whiny baby about him.

More importantly: heal up well, Boogie. Still can't get over the cruel timing of it, right when it seemed like he was trucking towards his first career playoffs appearance, and right when he and his team really seemed like they were turning a corner. On a routine freaking offensive rebound.

Achilles tears are about as bad is gets in hoops, but hopefully he bucks the odds.

Just coming here to say this. It also looked as though he had shed the "immaturity" tag that had followed him around
Agreed. You never know about these things - but the Pelicans and AD really appear to enjoy playing with him.

As I pointed out a few pages back, Cousins alleged attitude issues are maddening given his all world talent.

As you point out, he seemed to be turning a corner this season so this injury simply negates that progress in the sense that he will be a giant question mark as a FA.

Injuries suck but they make you appreciate what many of these ridiculously talented athletes are able to do when healthy.

Who’s the last NBA play to tear an achilles? Seems like a pretty uncommon injury for a hoops player. Just killer timing for him given his FA status.

Here
I can’t stop laughing at this. Love’s gotta be gone at the deadline:

And here’s Jeff Green talking shit to Love while he’s being interviewed, then Love flat up saying “I don’t like you Jeff.” A few of the media start laughing, but it doesn’t seem like a joke:

Just as NO was starting to figure things out Boogie down with an achilles. I was watching this game and it looked severe - he could not put any weight on it and needed help leaving the floor. My uninformed opinion is a complete rupture and not a partial tear

I don't know the prognosis for 270lb athletes with a torn achilles, I wonder if he can ever get back to his previous level athleticism. A loss for hoop fans everywhere
