Big VinceHave the Pats ever picked the typical highly rated draft day fallers? Your Sergio Kindles and so on.
So what do they do with him when Brady comes back? Keep three QB's?When you only have 2 QBs on the roster and the starter is facing a 4 game suspension to start the season, and the backup has barely played in the league, you need another QB. They decided to go the draft route (personally I agree with this because why waste cap space on a veteran for the short term need?) and I'm sure they targeted the late 3rd/early4th types. Of those, it seems they got the guy they wanted as a longer term project since they bypassed Cook, Hogan, Kessler.
I'd put the o/u on the number of picks they make of those 8 around 6. But knowing BB, he'll probably turn it into 14 and draft all of them.Surprised they used all the 3rd rounders. They have 8 (?) more picks I think. That's a lot of rookies to bring to camp on a roster that doesn't have a ton of holes.
JG is not the future only because TB12 isn't going anywhere soon. Brisset on the other hand could be perfectly ripe by the time Brady hangs 'em up.Well, I hated the JG pick last year in the 2nd round, and if Brissett is a sign that BB doesn't think JG can handle the four games without TB, I'll hate it even more. If JG is still the future, then did BB really grab Brissett to act as a backup for four weeks? Is that all a third round pick is worth (when you don't have a 1st round pick)? Do the Pats carry 3 QB's this year?
I don't know. Head scratching as usual.
Watch the footage of cook disrespecting Archie manning. Kid seems like a doucheThat may be true about Cook, but Michigan State didnt seem like a team where head cases were allowed to run amok. They weren't the U. And I hadn't heard anything about Cook's leadership or attitude at all until NFL scouts started harping on it.
Then again, MSU may cover things up well. They had that one player, Bullough, suspended for the Rose Bowl and I don't think people know why, even to this day.
Yes. They pretty much always have a couple redshirt guys who are on the roster but healthy scratches week after week. Last year Trey Flowers was on the roster until Week 13 and only active once.So what do they do with him when Brady comes back? Keep three QB's?
You can still root for himAwww fuck. There goes my binkie Prosise to the Seahawks.
Plus they'll need someone to be backup once they start the season 4-0 and then trade JG for two firsts and Larry Fitzgerald.JG is not the future only because TB12 isn't going anywhere soon. Brisset on the other hand could be perfectly ripe by the time Brady hangs 'em up.
They certainly could. So what do they do with him when Brady comes back? Keep three QB's?
He's probably too raw to help during the first four games. Its a pick for 2019 or whatever, if Brady finishes his contract Jimmy G will be elsewhere. They'll very likely roll with 3 QBs in 2016.Well, I hated the JG pick last year in the 2nd round, and if Brissett is a sign that BB doesn't think JG can handle the four games without TB, I'll hate it even more. I still think they likely pick up a Lindley or Matt Flynn vet min type for the four games. When you only have 2 QBs on the roster and the starter is facing a 4 game suspension to start the season, and the backup has barely played in the league, you need another QB. I feel like they do this in the first round, but very rarely later. First round fallers are sometimes just a matter of the right fit not coming along, but you've got to figure that guys falling in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounds are falling for reasons beyond just fit, and it just seems very unlikely that the Pats would end up being less concerned about red flags than everyone else.Have the Pats ever picked the typical highly rated draft day fallers? For camp, absolutely. Whether they spare the roster spot to carry that guy depends on just how bad Brissett looks in camp. He has to beat out Lindley or Flynn in year 1. If he can't do that then he a real goal to work on for year 2.I still think they likely pick up a Lindley or Matt Flynn vet min type for the four games.
JG was drafted 2 years ago. Which means he entering his third year with this team, this system and this coaching staff.Well, I hated the JG pick last year in the 2nd round, and if Brissett is a sign that BB doesn't think JG can handle the four games without TB, I'll hate it even more. I heard something on the ticket (Dallas radio station) about Cook and that night. I'm summarizing this: the people running the event told the MC and the guy who introduced Archie that the MVP trophy was to be introduced, no speech from Archie, and an immediate presentation to the winner. The person on the ticket interviewed said Cook was sitting near the end of the stage and didn't expect to win the trophy. He had, by his standards, a mediocre game and there was no clear MVP. He was surprised and embarrassed that he won. It was an awkward situation for the MC and presenters as well as Cook but Cook wasn't being arrogant.Watch the footage of cook disrespecting Archie manning. Kid seems like a douche
On phone so that link isn't showing up, but for gods sake, you're criticizing a person for disrespecting Archie manning? He should be celebrated. It's a fucking manning. I'd call him a douche maybe if it was Cooper but Archie and the other boys? Fuck Em. I'd rather have seem him knock his old ass down and take a crap on his face.Watch the footage of cook disrespecting Archie manning. Kid seems like a douche
PP and SMU must have caught it from twibTwibnotes must have had a severe brain cramp, it wasn't Archie Manning, it was Archie Griffin.
Malcolm Brown was definitely not expected to be at 32Have the Pats ever picked the typical highly rated draft day fallers? Your Sergio Kindles and so on.
Also now that I had time to sleep on it they did take Dennard in the 7th, so there are some such picks.Malcolm Brown was definitely not expected to be at 32
