They never wore hats with horizontal stripes.

It was. The MLB ballot was weird/inconsistent. IIRC you could vote for Bonds as a Giant/Pirate and the all-time FF, but you couldn't find Clemens anywhere.Al Zarilla said:So, steroids aren't a factor in this exercise?
Wow, it even has Federal League gear.Corsi said:

It's a tribute to 19th century hats worn by the team.

Ignoring steroids (which I personally love doing in all aspects), I think Pedro is still the right call over Clemens. Clemens spending a significant portion of his career with the MFYs and the championships makes it hard to make him a "Franchise Four" for the Sox.FlowerCity said:
IMHO, Clemens would make the Red Sox top four. And despite the childhood hero subjectiveness, he probably has the peripherals/WAR to back it up.

Personally I think they nailed the Red Sox four.
Jones passed the great Harlond Cift of the Browns in HR this year. Man, the Browns were a sorry franchise.DanoooME said:
Yeah, actually according to MLB.com he's 9th behind Ripken, Murray, Powell, Brooks, Palmeiro, Brady Anderson (!!!), Ken Williams (did play for Browns), Singleton.

No way he's going to be available, so it doesn't matter. He's going to be the cornerstone of that team for a long time.Laser Show said:If he were theoretically available, does that get it done? Feels like not enough.
Let's throw in Miley too. I'm sure they'd like him back.

Leading the best team in the league in a bunch of offensive categories. That makes him a candidate.FlowerCity said:
By what measure?
If the Sox make the playoffs, sure.FlowerCity said:
It may in fact be less crazy to suggest Bogaerts as an MVP candidate.
