Part of me loves having him back, but I just don't know what he has left in the tank. Obviously he knows the system and that's a big plus if nothing else.

Watching him last year, his bend around the edge is gone (he didn't even play when offenses went three-receiver) but he's still excellent setting the edge against the run. Assuming he's in football shape, this is probably as good as they could have done.

I know teams don't look at it this way, but this would be a good year to crap out. The bengals and ravens are certainly better, and browns may be better too.

I doubt it.  They have a tradition of keeping their coaches around even in some lean years and their issues are more related to the salary cap hell they are in and the corresponding talent level on hand than in coaching,
