For many years I've carried a complete dislike for Juventus - and not all of it connected to events in 1985 either -  but I've found myself warming to them this season, probably due to the style of play they've committed to.

In normal circumstances I'd be firmly behind a forward line of Neymar-Suarez-Messi, which has probably the greatest attacking potential off all-time (in club football at least), but...I've just got a feeling for those in black & white stripes for some reason, even without Chiellini.

Quite honestly I am completely neutral on this I really don't mind who wins & I just want to see a spectacular game, maybe some controversy and a few hard tackles and a game that is deserving of the occasion.

1985 Juve? Heysel stadium? A horrible tragedy but tough to pin that on the team itself no? 2005 seems like a far more worthy reason to hate Juve the team.

My phrasing gave the impression I hold them partially responsible for what happened that day and that is DEFINITELY NOT what I intended. I know where the blame lies & I've never tried to shy away from it, as a fan of LFC.

I hated their playing style for so many years and it just stuck with me. I still think they are a shady bunch of characters & wouldn't trust the club as far as I could throw them but at least their team is easier on the eye than it used to be. Give me a 3-2 in either direction tonight & I'll be happy.

Team news:

Juventus: Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Bonucci, Evra, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal, Tevez, Morate
Barcelona: Ter Stegen, Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta, Messi, Suarez, Neymar

Xavi on the bench for his last Barcelona game.

Without a doubt over the long run Juve has had a frustrating playing style but it just seems the Italian style. Organized and defensively oriented.  And who knows what's still really going on behind the scenes, but hey they just learned from FIFA, amirite?

Agree, rather have a good game than a particular team win. And I bolded a nice little touch in your post.

LOL...I hadn't spotted that but it's probably quite accurate. I have changed it now, though.

Beautiful and mesmerizing

The entire defense was mesmerized by the big 3 just hanging out while the midfield walked right down the middle.  Saint Pogba got real lost there.

As beautiful as that goal was I'm disappointed it happened so quickly. Hoping for a close game.

Pogba has to do better with that, Morata set him up perfectly.

BTW each time I forget how tall Morata is until I see him.

Barca must have seen something on tape, because that's the third time Messi has tried that cross-field ball out to the left flank.

Alba won the ball. Diving, ref-surrounding Eyetie cunts.

Juve must be so used to having bought the referee that they don't know what a fair match looks like.

This ref is doing a pretty fair job. Every Juve player just laid hands on him and he didn't do anything.

The Pogba thing is probably a foul, but Alba did get some ball.

Pirlo being bypassed on defense consistently. And it was him moving forward that created the space for Barca's goal.

No stoppage time?? Wow.

What are the options to sub Pirlo out? As amazing as he is, his lack of speed / movement seems to be creating holes going forward and defending.

Or sub Pogba and Vidal to keep 11 men on the pitch for the full 90.

Juventus has actually settled into the match OK.  They're getting outplayed but they're hanging in there, not giving up too many good chances, and have had a few openings themselves.  At 1-0 down against Barcelona, it'll take a prayer for them to win.  But they've got a shot.
