As annoying as Miami IS, the C's actually created separation down the stretch. Hopefully they can do that when the Heat are at full strength. We don't need any more Jimmy Butler nightmares.

Jaylen had his turnover game going against a D playing a little harder but aside from that he was once again an efficiency monster. He may be a wing but when he gets deep in the paint he is just a load down there and has gotten so good at carving out space for himself.
It’s just hard to beat a team that has two guys like this who both take a really efficient 20+ shots a game from everywhere on the court.

Always great to cool down the Heat but my celebration is a bit muted given this was a home game at basically full strength (not counting TimeLord) with both Butler and Oladipo sitting.
I watch the box score during the game, and I think one of his 6 turnovers was a mistake, 2 others were offensive fouls, which were definitely charges, but not bad plays. I thought he played a great game tonight, aside from the fouls. The team had 17 turnovers like a minute into the 4th, and I'm not sure they had another one after that.
The Heat aren't shooting 18/39 from 3 if Butler and Oladipo play. And that's the only thing that kept them in this game.
Then they lost by 13.

My first game was the "Conner Henry game" and I sat behind a pole in the old Garden. LOL.

I like(d) his game, and can imagine he still might possibly be an impactful player in just the right situation. But the odds of that are dwindling by the second, and he is very much an example of why a player's grit/toughness/mentality really do matter.

The Henry game or the Jonas Gray game?
Larry Bird was out that game (just my luck -- my very first in person game!), so sitting behind the pole allowed me to pretend that Henry was Bird.
Funny my first Celtics game was an obstructed view seat as well. Didn't bother me a bit. I was 8 and the old Garden was magical.
My dad and I went with a guy who owned the Griffin Club in South Portland and who was close friends with Don Nelson and who'd gotten my dad into the Celtics's after party when they won the Championship in '76. You'd think he'd have had access to better tix!
That is so great. I would give anything to have a picture with the old man at Fenway or the Garden back in the 60's. Who the hell would think of bringing a camera to a ballgame back then?
Film was a luxury for first communions, family gatherings, and very special occasions. Just having a date and a location stamp on that photo 50 years from now...Wow.
