And he gets a fantastic whistle. Guy hasn’t set a legal screen since his AAU days. Maybe.Adebayo is a great player, but I kind of suspect he's sliding into loser-attitude zone. He whines like Lowry but doesn't seem to be as strategic about it, and he has a JV version of Ben Simmons' aversion to shooting/taking over.
As annoying as Miami IS, the C's actually created separation down the stretch. Hopefully they can do that when the Heat are at full strength. We don't need any more Jimmy Butler nightmares. As annoying as Miami was, they never tied the game in the second half
Speaking of our old friend Ben Simmons, would you be shocked to learn he’s hurt again?Adebayo…has a JV version of Ben Simmons' aversion to shooting/taking over.
Got to shake hands with Satch at the reception at the Rock and Roll HOF for the Top 50 players at the 1999 All Star Game in Cleveland. He was so pleased that I knew he was not Bill Russell because people had been calling him that all night. My first memory at the Garden was the Celts against the Cincinnati Royals. I think it was 1964. We were on a Cub Scout trip on a school bus, and we got there very early.
II can still see Satch warming up on the floor all by himself, long before any other players came out. One of my favorites when I was kid.
I also remember thinking Oscar Robertson was bigger than I thought he was.
Yup, Satch looks great.
I watch the box score during the game, and I think one of his 6 turnovers was a mistake, 2 others were offensive fouls, which were definitely charges, but not bad plays. I thought he played a great game tonight, aside from the fouls. The team had 17 turnovers like a minute into the 4th, and I'm not sure they had another one after that.Jaylen had his turnover game going against a D playing a little harder but aside from that he was once again an efficiency monster. He may be a wing but when he gets deep in the paint he is just a load down there and has gotten so good at carving out space for himself.
It’s just hard to beat a team that has two guys like this who both take a really efficient 20+ shots a game from everywhere on the court.
The Heat aren't shooting 18/39 from 3 if Butler and Oladipo play. And that's the only thing that kept them in this game.Always great to cool down the Heat but my celebration is a bit muted given this was a home game at basically full strength (not counting TimeLord) with both Butler and Oladipo sitting.
Fuck yeah.
Heart of a champion!!!!!Speaking of our old friend Ben Simmons, would you be shocked to learn he’s hurt again?

None of which, by the by, were Tatum.4 celtics with 5 or more assists. You dont see that very often.
Ha, that's great. funny, that game is not mentioned on his Wiki.Awwww...
My first game was the "Conner Henry game" and I sat behind a pole in the old Garden. LOL.
Larry Bird was out that game (just my luck -- my very first in person game!), so sitting behind the pole allowed me to pretend that Henry was Bird.Ha, that's great. funny, that game is not mentioned on his Wiki.
The Henry game or the Jonas Gray game?
Funny my first Celtics game was an obstructed view seat as well. Didn't bother me a bit. I was 8 and the old Garden was magical.Awwww...

My dad and I went with a guy who owned the Griffin Club in South Portland and who was close friends with Don Nelson and who'd gotten my dad into the Celtics's after party when they won the Championship in '76. You'd think he'd have had access to better tix!Funny my first Celtics game was an obstructed view seat as well. Didn't bother me a bit. I was 8 and the old Garden was magical.
That is so great. I would give anything to have a picture with the old man at Fenway or the Garden back in the 60's. Who the hell would think of bringing a camera to a ballgame back then?
That’s a great photo
