Bill Simmons: Good Luck With Your Life.

The merits of what he said about Goodell are almost not relevant here.  Understanding the suspension should be broken into two component parts despite ESPN's statement:   How much can you get away with criticizing even a public figure in such a fashion? and;  How much can you tell your bosses to...

PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. They really aren't matching Lin? Really?!?!?!?! Our point guards, in the east, in a win now scenario, total 103 years old? PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. I have emailed the guy who was selling me season tickets that I wasn't interested if they don't match on Lin. This is purely...

I don't disagree--and my comment was much more about fit then Shumpert. I just prefer better outside shooting on the court with Melo and Amare than Shumpert offers. Also, I think Amare and camby can work better than Tyson because camby isn't a primary screener and hangs around the outside...

You're severely overrating Shumpert if you think he's one of the five best offensive options this team has. Our best lineups: Offense--Camby, Amare, Melo, Smith, Lin (though in a half court, grind it out possession I'm putting Kidd on the floor for now). Defense--Chandler, Camby, Smith...

First of all, that's world-class idiot Frank Isola of the Daily News who reported it. He has an axe to grind with everyone, I give it about as much weight as a sports radio caller saying they should trade Jeffries for Howard.

There's got to be more to come. They have Gadzuric's non guaranteed to make a 2 million S&T. While this seems like a lot, this gives the Rockets more room and chips to possibly keep Howard out of Brooklyn--no idea if that could be part of the motivation. I will miss Jorts, the other guys I...

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the Knicks are trying to beat the Heat with a coherent plan of size, decent point guard play and depth. Not that it will work, but overwhelming size may be the way to go*. *that's what she said.

I would love Bayless for this team. They badly need youth and athleticism, he can shoot a little and would benefit from Kidds tutelage. He is a guy that couldnt figure it out on bad teams, but might emerge as an energy 8-10 guy on a playoff team in a good environment. Some team will get a steal...

I don't love the Kidd move, and I love it a lot less if he comes via the MLE (as opposed to a Sign and trade). The guy is simply not that useful at this point, and frankly I see the backup point guard spot as ideally being handled by a young solid on the ball defender who can push a little bit...

It can't be signed until July 11. Once signed, the Knicks would have three days to match (or in this case light 21 million dollars on fire in a demonstration of a more sensible way to spend money).

So if Nash just says "I want to go to the Knicks, make it work," doesn't Toronto/Fields deal fall apart and we're back where we started? Its verbal only. No way they keep him at that number just to take a gun out of the Knicks' arsenal.

Two potentially beneficial developments for the Knicks last night: OKC takes care of business vs Milwaukee and it's revealed that DRose has a bad ankle and may not play tonight.

If you watch the video you see Shumpert looking back at Woodson, who then demonstrably points in the direction of Fields. Shumpert then runs to Fields and tells him to switch up.

Wanted to point out something interesting about the way Woodson coached the last defensive possession (saw this video on theknicksblog.com, for the record) At the last minute, Shumpert switches places with Fields, allowing him to defend Rose without having to fight through the three screens...

Its not that I'm advocating against J.R. Smith shooting, its just the blatant awfulness of the shots he's taking has to improve. The guy is comically opposed to going to the basket, although he has the quickness and athleticism to get there and finish. And can we talk about what a special...

I disagree with the "semi-tanking" approach. Given Philly's implosion and the softness of the back half of the Knicks remaining schedule, I'm pretty confident they'll make it in as either the 7th or 8th seed. However, if they are able to steal another game from Chicago or Miami, beat the...

SO many things about this game to analyze. Just a few thoughts off the top of my head: -Amazing that they could even play with a team that strong defensively without a point guard for the entire fourth quarter. Unreal. -Tyson. Tyson. Tyson. Maybe the biggest underrated turning point of the...

The Knicks are a terrible matchup for Orlando. They have the one center in basketball who can deal with Howard with only moderate help, athletic wings and an elite perimeter scoring option they can't defend. Would love to see them in the playoffs somehow.

Not usually one to complain about the referees, but the Knicks really got Joey Crawford-ed last night. That and a few terrible bounces were contributing factors to an awful loss.
