    RD2 #5/#37: S Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne

no one has ever heard of this guy and, of all the holes on the roster, this was not at the top of the list. So in that sense, the pick makes a lot of sense

Bob Zupcic (and Other Bright Specks in the Firmament)

I was at UMaine in the mid to late 1990s (took the scenic route), and in the summer of 97 (think it was 97) I went out to a Bangor Blue Ox game as I was working in Orono for the summer. The Blue Ox played in the Northeast League, which is now (I believe) the Can-Am league. And Zupcic was in the...

    Baseball on Television

This is fantastic. Also ... Grich while rounding the bases on a 6th inning HR was a bit much.

    RIP: Ted Lepcio

Hmmm Interesting. Yeah I knew he played there - I thought it was 49/50 but I’m seeing conflicting info as well.

    2019 from this point on

You go hard every damn day. Have to. The odds aren't great, but there is a lot of baseball left. If or when you are mathematically eliminated, you move on to 2020.

MLB/MLBPA discussing '19/'20 rule changes: Universal DH/no sept callups/3 batter rule

Pitch clocks. Intentional walks. No real issue. But I’m no fan of it tinkering with how the game is played between the lines, and if the game isn’t fast enough for some 20-something in LA then too bad. It’s a great game how it is.

    Rebirth of a Sale, man

No way the luxury is taken at the start of a series against the Yankees. If it's truly just a breather, you wait until the following week to do it.

    Rebirth of a Sale, man

The "little bit more than I'm used to" part of his quote is ... very concerning.

What's your most treasured baseball card of a Sox player?

Ted Williams. 1951 Bowman. Card 165. My late grandmother got it for me at a yard sale, of all places, when I was 9.

#83 pick--Derek Rivers EDGE Youngstown State

Sidenote: His mother, Mary, is originally from Maine and graduated from Cony High in Augusta. So did an aunt and an uncle. In fact, his grandparents still live in Maine - in Newcastle I believe.

NFL Sunday Ticket now available via PS3

So I am on directv, have been since 2011, and we are currently out of contract. I called them yesterday and told them we were looking to make a switch to save $. I paid for Sunday Ticket last year and told them that while I was still interested in it, I had zero qualms with not having it and...

    #NoBradyNoBanner - Yay or Nay?

Apologies if this addressed elsewhere, but didn't the Pats jack up prices for the opener with the expectation/anticipation there would be a grand ol ceremony? Might be tough to pull the plug on those festivities if that's the case ...
