I know, I know, they can still pull this off in 7, but getting one series win between the Celts and Bs would be the pinnacle of underperforming.

Brown is my favorite player on the team, and he's a walking choke-job and a casual anti-Semite. Good times.

This core just doesn’t have it. They can’t close the deal, even when the stars align for them.

Such a shame. Makes me appreciate our prior title teams all the more.

So they’re soft? Not “clutch?”
What is it ?
They struggle with execution, don't have any truly reliable guys to run late game offense, closest is Tatum. They have a lot of inconsistent players in their highest usage guys (Tatum/Brown/Smart), lot of loss of concentration and poor individual decision making.

Still feel it would be smart to expand the rotation and see what you can discover.
Won't help tonight - but could come into play Thursday.

Here
Tatum and Embiid have kinda similar numbers actually. They had Maxey and we had Horford/Brogdon.

The bad news: They will probably get destroyed in Philly and the year is over. The good news: If they can somehow pull off the next two games, they will have demonstrated enough guts to go all the way.

Maxey is awesome
Let's hope the Sixers will wish they'd save some of these 3-pointers for Game 6.

If they come out and play this well again Thursday nite, they deserve to win the series.

I mean, we had maybe the best stretch of the last 4 years under Mazzulla too. That's just how small samples are. And while I don't think Joe has been that good in the playoffs, our problems are and have been more player focused than anything else over 3 coaches and 4 years.
There were red flags during that early season run.

1) the defense was bad but it was offset because the Celtics were playing the best offensive basketball ever. The latter was unsustainable.
2) they looked bad in the rare close games
3) team played better when Smart was out during that hot stretch
4) Mazzulla seemed inexperienced and defiantly stubborn

I genuinely didn't see this coming, but there were definitely games it felt like this team needed to have and didn't get during the season — Wizards, second Magic game, etc. — and it's been said a million times that the team essentially MUST shoot 40% from three to win games.

Hauser and PP coming in to drain threes kind of stings.

Absolutely pissing away Al’s mammoth fourth on Sunday hurts so much because you knew he was going to be jelly tonight after that and indeed he was.

One guy has been a turnstile on defense and has 13 points and you want to say he isn't part of the problem? I never said Tatum wasn't part of the reason for the loss.
You said Brown has been worse. They’ve been both been bad but Tatum takes the horns tonight. (Plus Brown has 24 points)
