It's the details. Brown not dribbling clean on the break allows for the chase down. It's simple. Tatum and Brown have the taughtness of a retired madam.
I want to also say this isn’t Mazzulla’s fault. He was put in an absolutely impossible position. A 34 year old coach with no experience where it’s basically Finals or bust.I wonder if he's going to clap back at the Boston media after this one...
Can’t dunk when you are dribbling with your elbows.Dunk it bro
Their guy won the MVP and is playing like the MVPOMG what a block.
Da Celts!Play 2 good minutes here and we are back in this. Play 4 good minutes and we can even in up. Play 7 good minutes and we win.
Yep gotta dunk it.Fucking dunk that shit. You KNOW Embiid is coming up behind you.
The Sixers are the better team.
To be fair, a coach looks a lot better when everyone’s shots are falling and that’s what happening for Doc tonighyHonestly…this is why I think Mazzulla’s not a good coach. He’s getting put in the spin cycle by fucking Doc Rivers. Literally no one has ever said Doc was a good in game coach. Again, no one has ever said this. He’s fucking smoking Mazzulla. That’s incredibly disconcerting
Exactly. And it's not some kind of surprise or disaster that Coach Joe is getting outcoached. It's just too bad. I'm not saying Ime was some kind of savant or way better, but he was clearly more experienced and he would have been building on what he learned, etc. This is just deer in the headlights seeming at times. Which, again, is not that surprising. Just disappointing.
Narrator: it was too late.Tatum is finally locked in. Hopefully it’s not too late.
loose handle, couldn't time the jump well because he was stumbling and fumblingWhy not dunk on a breakaway?
He’s simply not a player you can trust to make the right play in these games. All he has to do there is execute a clean fast break and he can’t do it. Almost dribbled it off his foot. What the fuck is Brown doing?
They had the best net rating of any team in the league, finished top 5 in both offense and defense and generally had their best regular season in years?Irrespective of coach talk - why did they extend CJM again?
Brad is a vibes guy and it sucks.Irrespective of coach talk - why did they extend CJM again?
Philly is shooting almost exactly their season average tonight - a little better from 2, a little worse from 3.To be fair, a coach looks a lot better when everyone’s shots are falling and that’s what happening for Doc tonighy
The vibes are immaculateBrad is a vibes guy and it sucks.
So they’re soft? Not “clutch?”They had the best net rating of any team in the league, finished top 5 in both offense and defense and generally had their best regular season in years?
The only one of those that matter to me is Stevens. These are two rookie head coaches in a row. It’s just like a rookie player, you learn and get better as you are on the job.I just don’t see how coaching changes anything with this game or this team. It’s a good but not perfect team that is extremely streaky. It was that way under Stevens, Ime and now Mazzula. They had a ton of wide open looks tonight.
IMO, the biggest material adverse event was RWill’s injury. Their defense was helped a lot last season when he was mobile defender, and their rebounding was decent with him and Horford on floor. That was their peak. They have not gotten back to that level of performance since then.
