Without Davis the Lakers are just an incredible travesty on defense. It's crazy because they were a top, top defensive team these last few years.
You just hate to see it…Without Davis the Lakers are just an incredible travesty on defense. It's crazy because they were a top, top defensive team these last few years.
I love Schroder
So am I, too bad it had to be the Lakers.Very happy for Isaiah. Also very happy that he is the top scorer on the Lakers right now.
Why? You can cheer for him while the Lakers lose because of him. It's perfect. So am I, too bad it had to be the Lakers.
Seriously laugh out loud funny but true. The Caru-SHOWAlex Caruso’s not walking through that door
Curious if they are travelling with the team or not. This could be due to fear of a Toronto 10-day quarantine, especially for a star. If that becomes a thing, Toronto may have a unique experience of home games being against teams at less than full strength - even more so than we are seeing league-wide.Curry, Green, Igoudala and Porter out tonite vs. Toronto for various non-COVID reasons, including rest for Curry.
Timing is everything in life, isn't it?
Not traveling — all four headed straight back to the Bay Area, along with Wiggins (so-called “knee soreness”) and Poole (covid protocols).Curious if they are travelling with the team or not. Stud. The game is already slowing down for him and it’s showing in his 3-pt shooting…….nearly 50% behind the arc (18-39) in December.Prior to tonight, Cade's last 7 games: .480/.500/.778, 22.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.0 blocks, 4.4 TO.
Tonight, he was 8/19, 3/9, 2/2, 21 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 3 TO. Pretty sure he's going to be ok.
I’m fascinated to see whether Warriors can pull off the now and later plan. Wiseman still has hope and with Kuminga you’ve got a shot at a Spurs-style reload.Jonathan Kuminga's first real NBA minutes: 26 points on 9-15 fga.
Just turned 19 two months ago.
Scottie Barnes is a stud, too.
Part if the reason they can potentially play the game is because they really don't have much in the way if needs. Sure maybe they could use an upgrade at the 5 spot, but we'll see if Wiseman can be that guy.I’m fascinated to see whether Warriors can pull off the now and later plan. I’m not sure the odds are with that relative to cashing those chips in now, but it’s interesting to watch

Obviously a lot depends on what Klay is when he return?
What was the deal with that? To the naked eye looked like he was playing it as if it was a last second shot with one of the teams up by an ample margin. Maybe it was just that SGA got him so far off balance with his feint and wasn't a matter of poor effort/focus? Would like to think so....What a finish. Batum made no effort to contest that shot.
Depending on which players come available, I think the odds are with both Kuminga and Wiseman sticking around. Beyond the fact that keeping and developing your young blue-chip prospects tends to be a good way to build a winning franchise (viz. holding onto Steph, Klay, and Dray when everyone wanted them shipped for Amare, or Love, or Deron Williams or whoever), I think Lacob has a lot of his “light years” ego bound up in their succeeding with the Warriors.I’m fascinated to see whether Warriors can pull off the now and later plan. Coby White with a bucket! Everyone in Chicago must be thrilled with the Bulls resurgence, except for Coby & his agent.
People said the same about Terry Rozier remember? If Coby doesn’t get paid it will be because he hasn’t shown the ability to be a big-time scorer in this league as Rozier had shown. I hadn’t watched the Bulls much so I don’t have an opinion on him right now.Coby White with a bucket! Everyone in Chicago must be thrilled with the Bulls resurgence, except for Coby & his agent.
He started 54 of 69 games played last season (31.2mpg / 15.1ppg / 4.8apg) while averaging 12.5 shots/gm his first 2 seasons.
Now he's backing up the Lonz and the Caru-SHOW (both signed long term), taking 7 shots/gm (18mpg / 6ppg / 1.4apg) while watching DeMar, LaVine, Vucevic being the center of the offense.
His BPM wasn't all that impressive his first 2 seasons (-2.8, -2.6), so don't blame Arturas shrewdly upgrading the ballhandling position.
Getting paid will be tough for Coby in his current situation.
how can we forget? MJ & Mitch Kupchak laughed out loud as they watched Danny overpay for Kemba and hand over TerryPeople said the same about Terry Rozier remember? Yes I probably would I just don’t have a good read on White as I have with others.how can we forget? MJ & Mitch Kupchak laughed out loud as they watched Danny overpay for Kemba and hand over Terry
Rozier deal was unique for many reasons, I wouldn't use it as the standard in the COVID RFA/cap era
I figure you'd appreciate the Coby situation since you always talk about the behind the scenes maneuvers of Agents with NBA GMs
Memphis on verge of losing at home to OKC tonite. Giddey is an impressive rookie.Ja is back. I have a feeling we are going to be talking about how good Memphis is later this season. Kinda crazy we all thought the Memphis pick would be and where we are now.
Yes, indeed. Eleven assists for our young Aussie.Memphis on verge of losing at home to OKC tonite. Giddey is an impressive rookie.
I have my doubts on Thompson but if he's fully back, that team is going to be filthy. I started buying more into Poole on his 2nd stretch of good games last year. Young players often go on a really good run for 5-20 games just to regress back to a pumpkin. Bad stretches aren't a problem, as long as other good stretches happens. Poole has now had multiple stretches where he looks like a world beater and is still 22 the rest of the NBA season. Once he develops some consistency, he's going to be a lot better than your Jordan Clarkson comp. Of course, I'm not the biggest Clarkson fan and you are probably trying to dial it down some. Last year, you were being a bit of a homer, but you can be giddy about Poole now. He is 12 days younger right now than Clarkson was in his rookie year, too.So much of what’s great about the ‘21-22 Warriors in one 20-second clip, from Klay quietly observing and thinking “sooon” … to the savvy D by Dray and Steph (Dray swiping but not overhelping off the corner cos he knew Steph and Otto Porter could handle HB’s drive) … to the Steph steal … to Dray pushing and surveying the floor; to the crazy ball and body movement on O with Steph’s gravity wreaking havoc … to Old Man Andre’s gorgeous behind-the-back touch pass for the OPJ finish. With “I got 5 on it” as soundtrack…
Fox. But I’m not sure anyone wants him on that contract.DeAaron Fox has missed the last 3 games.
In those 3 games, Tyrese averaged 38.7 minutes, 24.0 points, 10.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals on .547/.571/.857. 29/53 from the field, 8/14 from 3. He had 10, 11, and 11 assists.
They really should move one of them.
Maybe not for any value. I think his contract would be pretty easy to move though. Philly comes to mind but I wouldn't be shocked if they preferred Maxey. Looking around, maybe it wouldn't be so easy. PGs who can't shoot aren't exactly in right now, and finding a SG who can put up 20 a night on crappy efficiency isn't that hard to do.Fox. But I’m not sure anyone wants him on that contract.
The rumor has been that Philly wanted him for Simmons, but the Kings refused (partly because he "likes" Sac...as if that should matter). Makes zero sense to me -- he's a fave player of mine, actually, a lot of fun to watch. But he's not a top 25 player by a long shot.DeAaron Fox has missed the last 3 games.

Only a -1 +/- though……his defense must have been like a glove!!Isaiah Thomas misses the G League. 1-11.
Murray’s injury kills them. Oscar had some bad ones back in the day as did Kobe’s in that year or two after Shaq left…..that was brutal.Jokic has got to have one of the worst supporting casts a Top 5 NBA Player/Reigning MVP has ever had. These are the Nuggets top ten players in total minutes this season.
1. Aaron Gordon
2. Monte Morris
3.Will Barton
4. Nikola Jokic
5. Jeff Green
6. Facundo Campazzo
7. JaMychal Green
8. Austin Rivers
9. Bones Hyland
10. PJ Dozier
I won't argue that that's not a brutal group, but they are in a tough spot with their 2nd and 3rd best players (Murray and Porter) out for the year. There aren't a whole lot of teams that will look competent when that happens, especially when the missing players are owed nearly $300M combined in guaranteed money.Jokic has got to have one of the worst supporting casts a Top 5 NBA Player/Reigning MVP has ever had. Dray is rejuvenated, the guy is all over the court defensively.Steph with 46 pts on 22 fga to end a mini-slump by his standards.
Gritty, back-and-forth 113-104 win for the Ws (sans Poole, Wiggins, Iguodala, DLee, Klay, Wiseman) over a fairly beastly Grizzlies squad.
Yeah, the post-Shaq years for Kobe were pretty grim, I thought Odom had made an All-Star team in Miami right before he was traded but I guess he didn't. The Royals didn't have the loaded firepower to beat the Celtics or Sixers back in the 60s, but Oscar always played with at least one other HoF player and most of the time, multiple (Jack Twyman, Wayne Embry, Jerry Lucas, Kareem, Bobby Dandridge).Murray’s injury kills them. Oscar had some bad ones back in the day as did Kobe’s in that year or two after Shaq left…..that was brutal.
the Gobert-Derrick Favors frontcourt was scrapped, along with all other two-big lineups, in favor of constant four-out spacing around their rim-running center. (Outside of Gobert and backup Hassan Whiteside, Utah doesn't play any non-shooters. Six players in the team's 10-man rotation hoist at least seven 3-pointers per 36 minutes.)
