Unless you don't care about the result!Fans always demand the massively rotated play the kids team for this sort of match and this match is a textbook demonstration of why that is incorrect.
True!Unless you don't care about the result!
We started Lo Celso, Romero, Davies, Doherty, Gil and Winks. But outside of Lo Celso, Gil and Romero, those guys will hopefully not get a heck of a lot of run, at least in bigger matches. Sessegnon started as well. No idea how to classify him. Romero was actually beaten on the goal (in fairness, after a Winks giveaway) with what announcers said was bad positioning. All in all we were very sloppy, youngsters or not.Bad performance but we basically played the u23s.
I don’t think it should be too hard to see out the tie at home with some senior players.
This is fake (in that the one that the club account posted didn't have the Spurs bird in it).Posted to Pacos de Ferreira’s TikTok account:

That's legit funny, especially coming from outside the UK.These guys have been trolling you hard. This was from before the match.

AMEN! Acceptable as of yesterday! So when is it acceptable for me to start hoping / praying / begging for an Ndombele for McKennie swap with Juve?
He's auditioning.Tottenham are somehow ahead, but Traore is kicking their ass.
Yeah, the guy has max speed, dribbling and power, so there has to be a reason he isn't Messi-like productive.Traore is impressive except his break vs lloris is telling. His finishing isn’t just not great, it’s awful.
id certainly take him though.
The guy who made him as a custom FIFA player would have been better off putting those 99s down to 92s and dumping those points into shooting.Yeah, the guy has max speed, dribbling and power, so there has to be a reason he isn't Messi-like productive.
Between Gil and possibly this, it appears that the thinking for unlocking a set defense is going to be dribbly wingers who can beat faced up defenders. Time will tell if that actually works, it does for Lucas sometimes but he’s too inconsistent to truly be relied on there.Spurs already have an abundance of pacy wingers who can play on the break (Son, Lucas, Bergwijn, Gil maybe) or go after long balls from the back. What you don't really have are creative, technical playmakers in either wide areas or the 10 role that can unlock a settled defense or who can help the team keep the ball and control matches.
Maybe you will sign both but I would definitely prioritize the latter over a player like Traore.
I couldn't agree more. If McKennie is available at the same price (and I know rumors are ridiculous, but let's assume), he's a MUCH bigger need than Traore.Spurs already have an abundance of pacy wingers who can play on the break (Son, Lucas, Bergwijn, Gil maybe) or go after long balls from the back. What's the third name! Spurs and USMNT fans want to know!Fab now on board:
Finally, the possibility of signing Adama seems to signal, at least to me, that Spurs are pretty confident that they’re not going to be selling Kane to Manchester City. Prioritizing a guy like Traore probably doesn’t happen if you think you need to be focusing on bringing in a new #10 to replace the best striker in England that just you sold to the richest club in world football.
I do wonder if an eventual back 3 with Traore playing a RWB position (instead of Doherty) and Japhet playing the right side of the back 3 is Nuno's preference. So Adama as RB confirmed, yeah? More seriously, he does seem a bit redundant with the plethora of wing options even if he's a different mold (he's damn near one of a kind). But if it allows Son to stay more central I guess it could be good? The thinking may also be short term and if Japh is the starting RB for some time, you could do a lot worse than having Adama play near MF and be responsible for driving play forward for the right flank.
I'm also a huge GLC fanboi but I do think GLC has a starter role on this team. A Skipp-Hoj-GLC MF features a lot of overlap, but perhaps just enough distinction (i.e. GLC by far the best passer and attacker of the bunch) to make it work? It kind of reminds me of the 'Pool Hendo-Fab-Gini group, but with less defensive stoutness (stoutitude?!?). That MF lacks a bit of creativity, and that's why Dele needs to be mentioned, but I think there's enough creativity in those 4 to make the MF work.

Wait, originally it was Ndombele--now they'll take Sissoko? Uh, yes please.I don’t think it’s happening, but if we’re dreaming might as well go with the purest uncut beautiful fantasy version.

Theres unfortunately no way it’s true.Wait, originally it was Ndombele--now they'll take Sissoko? Uh, yes please.
I love Sissoko, but mostly from what he was a few seasons ago. Now? What would Juve be thinking?
That's what I mean--that's so far-fetched I almost believe it, because who would peddle that as a fake rumor?Theres unfortunately no way it’s true.
Unless it’s sissoko and 45m. Then maybe.
