He can break all Jeter’s rookie playoff records twiceHeh, theoretically Arozarena could win LCS MVP twice as a rookie.

I'm on vacation and yet have received three emails from co-workers since the game ended ... all thrilled beyond belief, because our department head is a raging Astros fan who likely is putting his fists through walls tonight. It was frustrating but letting those assholes think they were on the verge of a historic comeback, even if they weren't the first team to do it, nicely done Tampa.
Wow! That is crazy!!! What a start to a career! He is still eligible for Rookie of the Year next year, guessing he’ll be the preseason favorite.
Ah, the Bonds breaks through/rally monkey/blow a 5 run lead in a would be clinching game 6 series.I feel for Dusty. I want him to finally get *back* to a WS as a manager but its tough to root for the Astros right now.
Edit: An astute, amazing, scholarly, wise and magnanimous poster was kind enough to point out my omission above.

I couldn't be happier about this result tonight
I know Ortiz was at 98 pitches but I will always feel as if he could have gone further. What followed was absolute bullpen carnage.Ah, the Bonds breaks through/rally monkey/blow a 5 run lead in a would be clinching game 6 series.
The road to glory should have to go through Mookie.I want the Dodgers
Almost makes you long for this...

The Astros don't feel it because they have won a title recently. Winning game 7 would have been a huge bonus. It was a letdown but it was like the Sox losing in game 7 of the 2008 ALCS or something like that.I'm trying to picture how much it would have hurt in 2004 if the Sox lost game 7 to the Yankees. And it would have completely ruined the rest of the year for me. I genuinely don't know how I would have reacted because it would have been so bad, it's hard to quantify because it didn't happen. But it would have been a historic level of sporting pain.
The Astros and their fans feel that today. And it couldn't be more perfect because they have been woeful this year, in their actions with the drums and their response, too. Altuve's career as a fielder might be over, too, because of the guilt making him unable to throw. Poor guy.
But the Astros will still have the fact that they stole a WS hanging over them. They get no redemption. The Astros don't feel it because they have won a title recently. But losing game 7 in 2004 would have been awful. We didn't really quit in the Sox after 2003, or even after 19-8 (well some people probably would have had the sweep been completed)... but losing game 7 would have probably made a lot of people give up. It would have definitely been more painful than losing game 4, that's for sure. Losing game 4 would have been "easy" by comparison - we'd have been done on the Sox. Losing game 7... I can't even bring myself to contemplate.
Whether they do or not....they're having a hell of a year so far.So, Tampa going to win Stanley Cup, MLB and NFL this year?
It would have completely broken me. God, I cannot even imagine how I’d have felt, especially living in NYC and surviving 2003.I'm trying to picture how much it would have hurt in 2004 if the Sox lost game 7 to the Yankees. No.So, Tampa going to win Stanley Cup, MLB and NFL this year?
That sounds painful. Can we please try to keep threats of violence out of the game threads?I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with fire.
You’re Saul on the Road to Damascus in this version of the storyThat sounds painful. Can we please try to keep threats of violence out of the game threads?
I like your theory on Altuve. The tell-tale yip.I'm trying to picture how much it would have hurt in 2004 if the Sox lost game 7 to the Yankees. It’s almost like there’s no actual good reason to keep doing a 162-game season. After the 60 game season where divisions all played different schedules, extra teams in the playoffs, and no days off, we're a Dodgers win away from having the teams with the two best records in each league going to the World Series. Kind of funny that all the extra variation didn't end up meaning anything,
I mean, unless you like baseball, that is.It’s almost like there’s no actual good reason to keep doing a 162-game season.
