Good point. Luka also checks the boxes for Danny. Gonna go cry now. Also had a shot with the pick that came with Tatum, right? Lakers ended up at #10 so Philly got to keep it but if it had been 2-5, then that puts you right in Luka range.

Except I'm pretty sure it happened twice down the stretch. Have no idea what Jackson or KL were thinking.Regarding Jackson on Luka today, guessing Doc bet on a drive and dish and had Kawhi for the corner shooter, and lost the bet. There’s no other rationale.
Yeah the whole point of having KL on your team is that the "drive" part of "drive and dish" doesn't happen so easily.Except I'm pretty sure it happened twice down the stretch. Have no idea what Jackson or KL were thinking.
Thanks for the reminder the game is on. Looking at the box score (1-9 FG, 3pts), Middleton is giving PG13 a run for his money. We all know he'll shoot 75% in a series against the Celtics if we meet up though.Really makes me happy to see Fultz playing this freely and well.
Pacers will surelyI know they’re missing Sabonis but I’m still surprised Indiana is probably going to go down 0-3. I thought this would have been a good series.
Steven Adams would be an ideal fit next to KP. Or imagine the length of KP and Gobert? Or the versatility of Hayward. The thing that sets Luka apart is that he still has two cheap years left on his contract, and Dallas will have a max space before Doncic's yet-to-be-announced-but-sure-to-be-massive extension kicks in. Giannis, for example, could end up in Dallas. They also have a good group of role players signed for a few more years on solid deals, including Kleber, Curry, Finney-Smith and guys who haven't been in the bubble (Powell, Brunson, Delon Wright). So any big name free agent that crops up is going to be looking at situation that already has Luka/Porzingis + good role players + good coach/proven ownership + no state income tax. Dallas is going to be a really fascinating franchise over the next few years, and they are arguably in best situation to dominate the league in the coming years.
Ted Cruz? Now I need to take a shower.I’m a Cuban fan from the owner to the sandwich to the future 2024 Presidential nominee. I’d love to see the Mavs take that next step.
This series has become really fun. I was worried after the first two games that it was gonna disappointHou - OKC is wild
No. I fully expect Mark Cuban to run as a Republican. He’s the anti-divisive candidate that this country needs badly.....but my thoughts would be for another thread.Ted Cruz? Now I need to take a shower.
Dear Lord, no.No. I fully expect Mark Cuban to run as a Republican. He’s the anti-divisive candidate that this country needs badly.....but my thoughts would be for another thread.
Very true. It's ironic that after missing all those threes in the 4th quarter that Houston scored on the last three of the game.Sad Harden is nice.
I just want to know if it screwed up any betting lines.Very true. It's ironic that after missing all those threes in the 4th quarter that Houston scored on the last three of the game.
I’ve noticed this too. People have mentioned how not having the crowd and cameramen right there messed some guys up with their spatial awareness and that’s part of why we’ve seen more guys stepping out of bounds on corner threes. Maybe it’s a similar thing where they’re setting up closer to the baseline than usual? Is it just me or have there been a lot more corner threes clanging of the side of the backboard than usual lately?
May be similar to what college players basketball say about playing the final four in a football stadium.I’ve noticed this too. Having new Chris Paul to worry about has really improved his focus.Chris Paul is amazing. OKC may better than casual fans think but that roster doesn't take this series to the limit without his guile and craftiness. He is the NBA's version of Quint.
The Heat have the goods to shock the world vs the Bucks. I’m really looking forward to this series.Man, Miami has so much shooting.
Anyone who's been paying attention to Miami (and Milwaukee) since the start of the bubble won't be shocked. The Heat have the goods to shock the world vs the Bucks. I’m really looking forward to this series.
They will be a significant underdog so I suppose it depends on the persons definition of “shocked.” I can’t imagine a casual NBA fan not feeling that way.Anyone who's been paying attention to Miami (and Milwaukee) since the start of the bubble won't be shocked.
Hope VO gets healthier and try to get assets on Turner. He had a rough year playing next to SabonisBarring a serious comeback tonite, the Pacers are going to get swept in the first round for the second straight season. Obviously, Olapido is not 100 percent and Sabonis is out, but do you just run it back next season and hope for good health if you're Indiana?
Wow, this disrespect of the unbeaten bubble Suns. "Even Phoenix"...Portland ... woof. Memphis, SA, or even Phoenix might have shown more fight than this.
Seems like the Occam’s razor take on this series — PDX has no one even remotely capable of guarding LeBron — is coming to pass. Especially with Zach Collins down. Even Mo Harkless, Evan Turner, or Al Farouq Aminu would look good in a Blazers’ uni about now.
None of those teams are anything more than a gentle speed bump for a healthy Lakers team going at 3/4 speed. I was rooting for Portland because, in the off chance that LA stumbled, there was a shot that Lillard/McCollum would give the Blazers 90% of the splash brothers and the addition of Nurkic would allow them to control the boards and thread the upset needle.Portland ... woof. Me watching Desus & Mero with a friend who used to be on the club scene.No. I fully expect Mark Cuban to run as a Republican. He’s the anti-divisive candidate that this country needs badly.....but my thoughts would be for another thread.
Yeah, probably not. I had just momentarily bought into the idea that the Blazers were different — that the combo of entering the playoffs on a high note, feeling like a team of destiny, and thermonuclear Dame swishing 35 foot threes gave the Blazers a puncher’s chance, which looks kinda silly now.None of those teams are anything more than a gentle speed bump for a healthy Lakers team going at 3/4 speed. That they are getting their asses kicked doesn't mean it would go any differently for any of those teams.
LeBron’s declining corpse is still freaking awesome, lol. I think he has declined a bit from his peak (not a particularly controversial claim, I wouldn’t think) but of course his peak was GOAT level, and genius hoops IQ ages well. How pronounced that “bit” of decline is should be more evident against teams with some semblance of wing defense. With Harkless/Aminu/Turner gone and Collins and Hood on the shelf, the Blazers may have the weakest and thinnest corps of wing-forwards in the league. It’s basically Melo or bust. Kawhi/George/Morris/Green should be a slightly different story (if both teams get that far).So you're saying LeBron's declining corpse still has some value? Or is it just that the loss of Zach Collins' 7 points/6 rebounds per game was that decisive?
I think the borders on the court are different from a standard NBA arena. Nowhere near as wide.I’ve noticed this too.
