Outstanding. One of the first modern shut down corners. Very happy for him! Part of a truly oustanding class.
yeah they are up in my post. Reed, Law, Bailey, RobinsonWord that there’s at least 4 DBs in this class.
Sorry. Tweets don’t show up.yeah they are up in my post. Reed, Law, Bailey, Robinson
Agreed...on both the awesome and surprise Looking at Football Reference, his closest comps are Darrel Green and Roger Wehrli, neither of whom have received the invitation to a gold jacket. In any case, great players as well...but nowhere near Champ Bailey.Awesome! A little surprising, to be honest
Yeah, in 2007Um, Darrell Green was inducted a decade ago.
The other guy you named, who I admittedly don’t know, is in too.
Yeah, sure, but you had to go back ten years.Um, Darrell Green was inducted a decade ago.
Its pretty staggering how good Law was during his peak. Well deserved.Champ Bailey had 52 INT's, 464 return yards, and 980 tackles in 215 career games.
Ty Law? 53 INT's, 828 return yards, and 838 tackles in 203 career games. Just saying...
The Patriots have retired numbers 20, 40, 57, 73, 78, 79 and 89I know it takes a lot, as it should, to retire an NFL number, but sould we consider retiring #24?
And Vinatieri was undrafted in 96, though I believe he was eligible in 95 and nobody signed him because he was like a 50% fg kicker in college.2 out of 7 Patriot draft picks from the 1995 draft are now in the hall of fame.
Aside from Brady, I’m not sure the team will retire another number. The Patriots Hall of Fame seems to the preferred way for former players/contributors to be recognized.I know it takes a lot, as it should, to retire an NFL number, but sould we consider retiring #24?
Correct and pretty good memory. Vinatieri was 27/53 (50.9%) in his college career at South Dakota State. He spent the first several months of 1996 as placekicker and punter for the Amsterdam Admirals where he went 9/10 on FGs. He will get his own place in Canton as a member of the class of '96 (albeit undrafted). And Vinatieri was undrafted in 96, though I believe he was eligible in 95 and nobody signed him because he was like a 50% fg kicker in college.
I'm still waiting for Jimmy Hitchcock's knees to get healthy.2 out of 7 Patriot draft picks from the 1995 draft are now in the hall of fame.
Whoa that's a lot of Manning Face. Nevertheless, my favorite is at 1'32", watch the Back Judge official.Ty Law was pretty good...

https://twitter.com/mikegiardi/status/1157819802288906241?s=21Ty Law gives thanks to @RonBorges for helping make this day happen. Borges sold Law to the committee. Shouldn't have required that much effort but it did and Borges pushed it over the goal line.
