I agree. I’m not sure where the negativity is stemming from. He’s pesky on defense, has shown to be quick enough to cut through screens, and is a willing passer. He doesn’t make many mistakes or try to ISO anything, but has a touch around the basket (tear drop tonight was legit) and could hoist a 3 in a pinch. He’s not a Larkin-level 3rd PG, but he’s more than passable.
I also agree that Dozier has better projection, has plus athleticism that could make him a better player, and would rather see some minutes go his way to see what we’ve got. He does seem to have shown enough in limited time to make him a candidate for being this year’s Jabari Bird.
